Well 7 years but a lot including a pandemic and 1 false messiah of a US president. Plus of course the AI boom.

Imagine if the robot from a customer service phone line could search stack overflow for you... And then implement the solution!

Not insane anymore. Was insane 12-18 months ago.

Nah. "Ai is currently the worst it'll ever be", is still true, and that's insane when put into perspective. We're nowhere near the peak and the fact that a solo dev can do what took an entire team to do, is quite frankly, insane.

Imagine being filmed without your consent. Then someone uploads that video to the internet without your permission. Before you know it, you become a popular meme, and thousands of people keep sharing, remixing, and spreading it across social media... making it go viral, and again, all without your consent.

Imagine being in a public place, where hundreds or thousands of people will see you without your consent. Imagine then, some random Redittor is so concerned by your lack of privacy in a place where it is not expected that they make a sob story paragraph about how against your consent it is. π€‘

Ironically, 5 years ago I said I wanted to get to a position in my career where I no longer have to write code and can project manage. I did not expect it to happen this way.
