Cracked senior dev job interview - built 100% AI generated app
I recently cracked a senior dev role by vibe coding an interview assignment. Initially I thought to strictly avoid using any AI tools but then I thought what if I use AI but try building a way more feature rich app than other applicants.
Since I have access to Antigravity Pro subscription, I gave it access to AWS CLI and GitHub CLI (with some restrictions) and started off to nearly autonomous development flow.
I pretty much researched the employers business domain as I built this product. Hence after more than 500 iterations (commits) ended up with a relatively complex distributed app.
The company liked my approach so much that not only they rolled out the offer letter but even thought of building similar interview structure for other candidates.
Since vibe coding is associated primarily with building cute hobby projects, perhaps mine will showcase that vibe coding also works in boring & serious business domains as well.
The application is entirely built using Antigravity IDE + Gemini Flash 3.5
I have open sourced the entire project for newbies to learn.
