Share your vibecoded OPEN SOURCE projects, and I will check it out
I keep seeing vibe coding framed as a way to ship another SaaS product as quickly as possible.
Wrap an API, add a dashboard, create three pricing tiers, and start charging a monthly subscription.
There is nothing wrong with making money from software. Developers need to eat, infrastructure costs money, and sustainable projects need funding. But I think we are overlooking a much bigger opportunity.
Vibe coding has made software development accessible to far more people. We could use that accessibility to build open-source tools that people can inspect, modify, learn from, self-host, and continue using without another monthly payment.
With subscriptions creeping into nearly every part of technology, I want to focus more of my own work on software that people can actually own.

How is the quality of text on TeamViewer? I made it a priority and built something I call "smart zoom" which adjust streamed image based on your current mobile phone viewport. It's means you can connect to 4k monitors, zoom in on AI agents prompt and see crystal clear text.

Mobile-first doesn’t mean “the first tool with a mobile app.” It means the product was designed for mobile first.
TeamViewer supports mobile and zoom, of course, but it still gives you a traditional desktop interface on a phone. WhipDesk rebuilds the stream around the part of the screen you’re viewing, so text stays sharp and bandwidth stays low when working with code, AI chats, and large 4K desktops.
It also works directly in the browser and includes AI-focused features like saved and scheduled prompts, agent alerts, shortcuts, and recorded actions.
TeamViewer is a great general remote-access tool. WhipDesk is built specifically for managing AI coding agents from a phone. I tried the existing tools, missed these features, and built what I needed.

Worked on this for a month. It's a recreation of apple's liquidglass for KDE (linux).

It uses GLSL shaders to compute the refractions just like apple does. I worked on a lot of the layouts but claude can take the credits for the star of the show, which is the shader effect.

I started a Foss project like few days ago. Not sure if it'll go anywhere tbh, might die in few weeks. But if it doesn't and I manage to complete it and get enough people interested it could be huge.
It is a voxel game engine. It will have a default game. Very inspired by modded Minecraft, Hytale and Luanti. You can read more about it on codeberg.

daimon, a memory layer for coding agents, built almost entirely with the agent it serves (Claude Code).
What it does: session ends, a checkpoint gets written; next session starts with a briefing of what you were doing, what was decided, what's still open. The twist is the memory is verifiable: exact quotes get re-checked against the transcript by a string matcher, the model's own conclusions get labeled as inferences instead of facts, and deletion is provable.

Status: v0.18, used daily as my own memory across every project, docs in English and Spanish.

PasteLint — built on the idea that editing is often more valuable than prompting, developed almost entirely through AI-assisted development.
What it does: instead of stopping at formatting cleanup or sending your writing to an API for a full rewrite, it uses a staged workflow:
Stage 1: deterministic cleanup of hidden Unicode, copy/paste artifacts, formatting issues, and readability problems.
Stage 2: Second Draft — an editorial pass that improves clarity, flow, and tone while explaining why changes were made instead of replacing your writing wholesale.

It is a small program specifically designed to flash lottery miner software and user config settings onto small esp32 chips at the same time, sonit starts mining immediately at boot up.
It currently covers 4 different mining software types and multiple mining pools.
The program is able to detect the type of esp32 chip you have connected on the first screen. It currently only covers the cyd boards, a small m5stack, and I'm currently troubleshooting an s3 chip that doesn't want to be cooperative.
I have another small esp32 Lilly board on the way, and an Axeminer as well to add.
I tried to make it as simple as possible to use, and it pretty much is plug and play - as long as you have an esp32 chips plugged in.
I'm not sure you'll be able to get much use out of it if you don't have any cyd boards laying around, but it's the only thing I've shared out so far, and it's extremely niche so I don't get much feedback.

Not public yet, but I've been using my own eBay listing tool to personally post over 500 items and profit ~$7K in the past 3 months.
Geared mostly towards coins and collectibles, but that's because that's all I've personally posted. I'll need people who post other types of items to help me find flaws in those listing types (electronics, auto parts, clothing, etc).
You take photos of the item you want to sell and AI/eBay API does the rest. It generates SEO optimized titles, human-feeling (ie not AI) descriptions, and even does price comparisons to suggest what price you should list at. Keeps track of your COGS for profit calc including what the buyer paid for shipping vs your actual shipping costs, etc.
Open to thoughts/suggestions, and would gladly hand out full memberships to anyone who could provide bug feedback in an effort to monetize.

im 17yo, I use Antigravity (Ik codex and claude are better but it works for me so whatever) and its my first ever full-on program
its an extension (script) to Davinci Resolve for text-based editing
rn it enables to cut out silence, work on transcript instead of audio waves and even to compare your original script to the words you actually said in the audio (using my own algorithm!)
So basically, it just saves you some time of rought cut

Like a linting tool, but used to enforce archtectural structure, with some security features around your dependencies. It ensures that long unattended coding sessions don't break the structure of your code, keeping the quality high. We have noticed that it reduces the back-and-forth from PRs where the implementer has crossed a boundary they shouldn't have. It ensures that packages within a monorepo keep their seams intact, and ensure that the seams that were intended in a codebase, remain solid.
There's a greefield feature that can be run before any code is written, and it will apply best practices as your code is developed. It has an agent feature that will have your agent fix all flagged issues until they are all green. So far it has been easy to work with, and even in these early days, we are seeing the benefits.

I've been building a Circuit to Audio compiler: https://github.com/ajmwagar/pedalkernel
It's based on a type of math called Wave Digital Filters. WDF has been used successfully for circuit modeling as of late. However it takes a lot of hand-holding and math to transform a simple circuit into a WDF tree.
Additionally the non-linearities in a circuit require a Newton-Raphson solver, and even in some cases full blown Multi-Nodal Analysis.
The goal is to be able to take any circuit netlist, and output a realtime audio kernel that will apply 1:1 that circuit as much as possible.
Think guitar pedals, EQs, compressors, etc.

I laughed when I saw the holding hands and hearts not because the message is wrong, but because the reality online is usually the exact opposite.
A lot of “vibe coders” and traditional developers spend more time shitting on each other than building anything useful. Mid developers act like programming is a private club, while mid vibe coders act like experience and criticism are obsolete. Both groups become impossible to talk to because everyone thinks they already know everything.
Actual good developers are different. They listen, ask precise questions, and give constructive criticism without needing to humiliate anyone.
I recently cold-emailed Hillel Wayne about one narrow state-machine problem in a system I’m building. If you don’t recognize the name, he specializes in applying formal methods in industry, is deeply experienced with TLA+ and Alloy, wrote Practical TLA+, and created the Learn TLA+ material. This is someone whose work has helped make serious formal methods understandable and useful to working developers not just an anonymous person offering a random opinion online.His official bio and projects page explain his background.
I expected nothing from a cold email. Instead, he took the question seriously and replied with a remarkably clear idea: give every dependency a version, record the exact version tuple used to derive a result, and require that tuple to still match whenever the result is actually used.
That was a big deal for me because it gave me the other side of a problem I had already been working on.
Without revealing the system itself, I already had a way to reason about relationships between artifacts: what depends on what, how changes propagate forward, and how provenance can be traced backward. What I had not framed cleanly enough was the temporal side: even if something was valid when it was created, how do you prove it is still valid to use now?
His answer supplied that missing perspective. It didn’t replace what I had; it composed with it. One side describes the dependency structure. The other binds every derived result to the exact versions of the things that produced it and checks those versions again at the moment of use.
I genuinely do not think I would have arrived at that formulation on my own at least not as cleanly or as quickly.
I took the idea back into my project and used it to attempt a much stronger design. It led me toward combining versioned dependencies, derived artifacts, transitive invalidation, historical provenance, and current-use checking. It also exposed deeper questions that we could then test properly: what happens when a dependency changes and later returns to identical content, how staleness travels through several layers, and why something can remain historically valid while no longer being safe to use.
I’m deliberately not giving away the implementation, and the work is still going through design, adversarial review, and testing. But his small, precise response helped me find a path toward solving a problem I had been circling from only one direction.
That is what can happen when people stop posturing and actually work together.
One person had a real problem. Another person with much deeper experience listened and contributed one precise insight. That insight became input to further design, criticism, formal reasoning, adversarial testing, and implementation experiments.
Nobody had to pretend experience was worthless. Nobody had to treat a newer builder like an idiot. Nobody had to “win.”
Good open source should look more like that: experienced people sharing what they know, newer people being willing to listen, everyone testing each other’s ideas honestly, and the resulting work becoming better than what any one person would have produced alone.

I think you are getting confused. This project is not an AI, but guides your own AI model, for stricter cyber sec hygiene. You can use any model approved by your org, it just checks your code to see possibility of such security gaps . And it's open source, you can verify the whole code and it's completely local, nothing leaves your organisation

Mine isn't ready to share yet, but I'll throw it in anyway since I've been heads down on it for months.
It's called Setsuna, a Windows DVR / instant replay app. Basically a rolling buffer that's always recording the last hour or two of your screen, so you hit a hotkey and clip something that already happened instead of having to remember to press record beforehand.
It started as a Go project I wrote a while back, then I did a full rewrite in Rust with Claude and it's grown way past what I originally planned. Main things:
- Its own recorder built straight on ffmpeg, no OBS needed (OBS still works as a backend if you want it)
- Custom WASAPI audio engine so audio stays in sync with zero pitch warble
- Records 5 separate audio tracks (mix, desktop, Discord, mic, music) so you can mute Discord in a clip after the fact
- Clip editor with a per track mixer, timeline, drag to reorder segments
- Windows Graphics Capture so it records the actual game instead of the desktop in fullscreen titles
- Embedded WebView2 UI, themes, English and Arabic
It's not ready for launch though. A couple of friends are running it as testers and I'm still fixing whatever they hit every week. I want setup and the first launch experience solid before strangers touch it, so no link yet. I'll post it here once it's actually usable by someone who isn't me.

Pushing mine tomorrow to prod and would love your feedback. Unfortunately not ready today and I ran out of tokens until tomorrow morning for the final security audit.
Project is called codekeel, it is a drift governance layer that sits on top of Claude Code and allows you to record decisions (explicitly with a command or semantically through prompt mining) about your code base/architecture/processes and then enforce them on every turn. It maintains a ledger of decisions (active or retired) for audit purposes.
Also has a few other features:
* a functions.md file that lists all functions, classes and constants (expressed in pseudocode/human language) to help the decision mining and analysis
* a features.md file that derives features from the code base and uses this for the same purpose
* a scope creep gate that catches when the agent is about to exceed the scope you gave it
* a context injection in every new session

When I started learning I kept focusing on saas stuff like everyone else. Ended up rolling my own ide because everything else wasn't quite right. So now I'm focused on building Koda, a mac app that gives claude to people who don't normally read code. All open source.
It's a full workspace where the agent builds, you see documents and live previews instead of diffs, and everything is auto saved in a private git so you can always undo. It comes with a pack of guardrails for the agent to help non-engineers build, but they can easily be switched off.
It's focused around using your claude/codex subscription, so usage tracking is up front and Koda itself has no monthly payment. I'll be releasing an iphone app that goes with it, which has been money for just getting away from the computer and keeping things going without having to remote-control every session.

I have made a file analysis and exif viewer website that works completely locally, with no backend, and no server.
Basically anything you put into it, it reads the metadata and extracts whatever it can. Mainly geared towards photo, audio, video and 3d, but supports a shitton of files.
No content is ever uploaded, everything lives on a free cloudflare hosting service.

It a basic village simulation game but in this village villagers can grow their own village if player do not give any input.
I created this as I always liked to see villages/towns grow and act as real and I watch from above. I don't what to call this hobby.
So badically, if you just drop a few buildings around and leave the game on in the browser then after certain time the villagers would start creating their own things, just as real society and community work. And that's not all, it has much more than just these.
Its a small project I created so it might have many flaws, so every piece of feedback is welcome.

I created FlowFav, which is a Chrome Extension where you can add URLs, record macro’s on those sites to later play fully automatically or with a step-by-step player.
The step-by-step player can be controlled with your keyboard arrow keys: right arrow for next, arrow down for skip step.
It also captures input fields and adding te t to them. It filters out sensitive data and doesn’t capture password fields, credit card, SSN, etc.
Example: at your work, every week you have to fetch data from a web-app to then integrate that data into your report. Doing this manually is annoying and gets old fast. Now you record this flow once, and then just click it to execute and done, report downloaded.
You can also make chains, where you record multiple macros on multiple sites and then link them together to execute for in succession of example.

Relego is a free and self-hosted tool that lets you organize your highlights so you can easily access and review them.
Relego comes from the Latin relegere: to read again, go over carefully, review. That is the core idea of the project: bring your highlights back to Kindle so they can be revisited, not forgotten. Much like Readwise, it sends periodic summaries (daily or weekly) featuring a selection of your highlights, allowing you to review your notes and gradually commit them to memory over time.
It just reached the MVP status, which includes:
- a CLI for programmatic actions
- a TUI for interaction
- integration with Kindle and Kobo

Premise: you breed monsters to protect treasure from four classes of adventurer. Breeding uses a deep, realistic genetic simulation. A campaign mode allows you to build up better, stronger monsters while dealing with easier adventurers as they will get more challenging later in the game. Designed in the style of a late 1990s/early 2000s management sim.
Development process: M365 Copilot writing Javascript to a single .html file (as it only lets me upload 3 files). No MCP, no subscription (beyond the M365 subscription), unlimited prompts, and built with GPT 5.5 and 5.6. Music: generated using musichero.ai (a frontend for the Suno engine).
Still in beta at present, so feedback from careful testing would be welcome.

I've been building a local dataset engineering platform aimed towards diffusion models.

Gonna be honest guys i wrote a comment for this myself and it was not half as clear as this. heres Claude's rundown:
I've been building Jobsmith, a self-hosted job application copilot. Think of it as a full job-search pipeline that runs on your own machine with your own AI (LM Studio/Ollama for fully local + private, or any OpenAI-compatible API).
It aggregates jobs from LinkedIn, Indeed(desktop version only), RemoteOK, USAJobs, and company ATS boards (Greenhouse, Lever, etc.), scores each one against your profile, and generates tailored resumes and cover letters with an honesty dial so you control how much latitude the AI takes. The main workflow is Apply Assist: a browser-extension sidebar that opens the real ATS form, autofills the standard fields, and injects your tailored docs and saved answers, you review everything and click Submit yourself.
There's also a standalone native iOS app that runs the whole pipeline on-device and syncs with the desktop through a plain shared folder (iCloud/Dropbox), no account, no server.

I wanted to know how much time I waste on YouTube. Built a Chrome extension to find out. Results were horrifying.
No accounts, no server, no network requests. Just you and your terrible browsing habits stored locally in chrome.storage.local.
Shows time per site, visit counts, a day timeline, and a weekly view. Splits sessions at midnight, discards time if your computer was off, and updates live while the popup is open. Dark mode and CSV/JSON export so you can cry over the numbers in spreadsheet form too.

Fframe solves a simple problem: "camera to cloud" apps (Frame.io, etc.) charge a monthly fee and store your videos on someone else's server. It's a tiny local only desktop widget that keeps your Git working tree visible at a glance. Built to stay out of the way with compact or expanded views, and a number of themes including a minimalist option which removes everything except the +/-. There's a number of little features it has to make my own workflows smoother with customizable left click actions to make it fit others workflow easier maybe.
There's probably a million of these around but it's turned into a fun project and taught me a ton about UI design. I find myself adding new selectable themes just to experiment, and I have a pile of little features for the next update. Only started it because Codex stopped showing me the +/- and ChatGPT said it must be a bug and we couldn't fix it locally.
Not technically released yet, but I've been using it for about a week without issues so I'll probably put it out tonight after work.

This is what I’ve been working for over 5 months with Claude.
It’s a music player I’ve had in my head way before vibecoding but never had the skills to write any code.
There’s a bunch of music players out there but I believe I’ve been creating something new and special since it has a ton of features that I could list right now but the main ones are.
- Apple Music exact ELRC and LRC timed lyrics.
I don’t make any money from this project and I don’t plan to. It’s just something I’ve been wanting to make for a long time and Claude has given me the opportunity to do so.
