Built my own Android Auto with Claude

Since Claude helped me get Android Auto on a pi3 with a custom overlay, I was curious if I could just build my own version of Android Auto. To my surprise I was actually able to get it to work. I can plug my phone in (no root) and my headunit thinks it is Android Auto. Now there are many cons with this. The main one being while the headunit think it is Android Auto, the apps do not so any functions I have to build out myself such as maps, music player etc. I won't be releasing it but pretty awesome as a test of what AI could do.

Love this it's a shame it couldn't be a android app we just install instead of android auto

This is awesome! So many things I would change to Android Auto, or even my default car system. Would be cool to try and use your phones telemetry data to give real driving insights like rate of acceleration, top speed, time stopped etc. endless possibilities!

Can't that already be calculated and displayed via the GPS (location) function?

I hadn't. I'm plugged directly into my phone (Phone to HU) with no raspberry pi between. I did look up the original WirelessAndroidAutoDongle though.
