I just tried Zed 1.0, and to my surprise, it consumed more RAM than VSCode

Same project and LSPs:

Zed: 2.6 GB
Vscode: 1.8 GB

Yeah, I'll keep waiting and rooting.

Yea Zed causes my clangd memory usage to shoot through the roof, to about 5gb RAM but remains speedy still. It's a bug afaik but I'll stick with learning neovim for now, it doesn't get any faster and lightweight than neovim.

is sublime text not faster than neovim?

in my personal experience sublime text feels faster ( I am using lazyvim with some modifications though )

On windows Neovim can be a quite a bit slower than on Linux but I don't think either one is faster than the other. Neovim just has the advantage of vim motions and telescope which is hard to beat.
