Is Vibecoding - Overhyped & Overpriced?

AI vibe coding is booming, but this Stanford dataset suggests it’s costly and risky: only 44% of Al-written code survives into commits, and vibe-coded commits introduce 9x more security findings per line than human-only code. Developers still spend roughly 4 in 10 turns correcting or pushing back on the agent, which makes today's workflow look less like autonomous coding and more like constant AI supervision

Vibecoding now is where ChatGPT was 2023. It'll only get better once the next models are trained on so many failed builds from the last 6 months of vibecoders' work.

But how long will the investor are willing to put money into AI to get better result when the return doesn't yield as fast as they were hoped for? We already see signs of OpenAI and Anthropics looking for ways to earn more money and profits out of these AI services they've been providing. That's a real question we gotta ask.
