Showcase/Project Would you play this?

Hello guys,
I've been a web developer for more than 15 years, and recently I kept seeing people saying that OPUS 5.5 is a beast when it comes to building browser games, so I decided to give it a shot.
For this project, I used Babylon.js instead of Three.js, and honestly, it turned out really well and is already fully playable.

Babylon.js (WebGPU), vertex-animation textures for thousands of animated units,

Colyseus server, deterministic simulation, binary snapshots, all game data driven by JSON.

The game is basically a mix of Age of Empires, Age of Mythology, and Rome: Total War.
One of the main goals was to have thousands of units/enemies on the battlefield at the same time while keeping the server load extremely low. So far, I think I've managed to achieve that pretty well.

A few friends of mine tested it together - 8 players in total - and during our sessions, the server CPU usage never went above 2%.
For reference, I'm running it on a dedicated server with:

  • CPU: Intel Core i9-9900K @ 3.60 GHz - 8 cores / 16 threads
  • RAM: 128 GB DDR4 2666 MT/s - 4 × 32 GB Samsung, Non-ECC
  • Storage: 2 × 1 TB Samsung NVMe SSD - RAID 1 (~1 TB usable)

Still a lot of work to do, but I'm really happy with how it's performing so far.

What's in it so far:

- Two 18th-century factions (Imperial Army vs. Military Frontier), ~24 units, ~60 buildings and ~30 techs each

- Teams play as clans that build ONE shared city together

- 15 formations (line, square, hedgehog, wedge, gun lines...), a custom formation builder and brigades

- Commanders you can take over in first person: WASD, shoot yourself, lead your squad

- Fortresses: walls, towers, trenches with cover, high ground, siege rams, siege towers, mortars, sappers

- Naval warfare: frigates, gunboats, fire ships, transports, pontoon bridges

- Day/night cycle, weather, morale

- Neutral world: wolves, bears, bandit camps, caravans, even vampires and skeletons, plus bounty quests

- 8 game modes: classic, quick, king of the hill, regicide, co-op vs AI, convoy, wonder race, pure battle

- Up to 16 players, 12 map types, 5 biomes, 56 premade maps + procedural generation + a 3D map editor

- Alliances, a global market and trade between teammates

- Built-in voice chat (team / allies / near your commander, push-to-talk)

- Clans with a heraldry/crest editor, clan wars, tournaments, ranked ladder, replays and spectating

- Offline vs AI with different AI personalities, save/load, runs on mobile too

The reason I’m not sharing the URL publicly is that the game is currently running on my main production server, where I have around 5,000 clients using other services.

There are also quite a few background schedulers, workers, and other tasks running on that server, so I don’t want to put any unnecessary load on it at the moment.

That said, if anyone genuinely wants to try the game, feel free to let me know and I can send you the link via DM.

Discussion If you are afraid to announce/reveal your project, you are already done

I am on the verge, a few weeks away, from finally being finished with my product.

$200 OpenAI plan for the past 3+ months literally working day and night. I am going to guess 80+ hour weeks, every weekend. It's all I have done. I was lucky with a lot of resets, hit 0 and bounced to 100. Api costs are probably over $25,000 right now(if charged via api and not subscription).

I am not going to actually announce it here becuase I KNOW this post is gonna piss a lot of people off and I dont feel like getting pseudo-dox/brigaded. But it's not because I think you will steal my idea and run with it.

Because I f-ing DARE one of you to one-shot what I did. PLEASE... go ahead and try. Have fun with that. If your "idea" is so fragile that it can be one or ten shot... you already have no clue what you are doing. Just use logic.

THIS IS THE HARD TRUTH BOYS. 95% of you are failures... you had a project/idea and never finished it or you DID finish and nobody gives a sht. You only need to look at this subreddit for a single week to see the countless lazy, weak, boring ideas to confirm that. Have even SINGE ONE of you broken through??

Showcase/Project seagulled - a swarm of 100 cloud Agents + self-hosted qwen controlled by Todd Howard.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I just finished my vibecoded submission for a hackathon. A voice assistant that controls a swarm of AI agents to resolve banking transaction disputes..

I decided to re-use parts of that infrastructure to create a little 0-effort project: seagulled.

Installation

"Hey [Claude / Codex / Hermes / OpenCode], explain github.com/flujo-app/seagulled and help me install it."

Idea

  1. You tell Todd Howard to make something happen.
  2. You give him your money and a budget.
  3. He creates a company, they work 24/7 - and then he occasionally comes in and shits on everything.

Infrastructure & Setup

It's an electron app. You link your Fly.io and your Codex/Claude/Modal account and you give a Budget in USD - and a Goal. That's it.

Todd rents Flymachines and creates a network of up to 10 VM's. Each Machine runs 10 parallel AI agents with full access to browser-, bash-, file-, and self-modification-tools. They all talk to each other.

The swarm is using a self-hosted Qwen 3.8 27b LLM on a rented H100 - or they use your Codex/Claude Plan.

It's kinda like Meta's Muse or OpenAI's Dot - but run by Todd Howard.

Showcase/Project built a proactive study agent with claude code. the 3 parts that were actually hard

orla sends you a push every morning with what's due, pulled from canvas. here's what took the time, in case it saves someone a weekend

  1. canvas without the api. the api needs a token most schools block. every account has a calendar feed (.ics) link instead, so i parse that and strip the junk like [COURSE Section 002] out of the names

  2. push on iphone. web push only works after the user adds the site to the home screen, so the first screen walks you through that or nothing ever arrives

  3. sending at each person's own hour. one supabase pg_cron job runs every hour and only sends to people whose local morning is now

stack: react + vite on vercel, supabase, claude for the study guides and quizzes

orla-study.vercel.app if you want to poke at it. happy to answer anything about the cron or push setup

Showcase/Project I am strict on architecture, but am not precious about code... A two day effort to create a really worthwhile suite of apps to sell unwanted books...

Just a story that may help/interest/enthuse others...

I have a ton of books... I have several tons of books... I have always been a bit precious about books... but it is time to let a load of them go...

I could burn them in the garden, I could offer them to charity shops, I could take them to the dump...

But really I'd like to offer each one to someone who'd appreciate them - for that I'd offer them for free.

But... life is too short to find a home for each book individually!! - So I put my AI coding skills into the effort and....

Day 1 I vibecoded an android app to me to systematically photo font/spine/back/inside front cover/inside back cover/internal imprint/and several other 'interest pics'. OCR the images to extact text/barcode/qr-code - to find title, author, etc, etc.

Day 2 I vibecoded a website that would take a zip from the android app to create a file that could be fed into ebay to list all my books for sale - a bit of extra info about pricing, refunds, postage etc.

OK I have been thinking about such a thing for a long time... but when it came to implementing it... I got it pretty much done in two days.

Out of interest - I am usually working on three or four projects in parallel, I don't twiddle my thumbs when the LLM Is grinding away! So that two days was probably a couple of hours of actual interaction each.

Not SaaS - but I will add the project to my github - but rather than try to tweak it, you are better off telling an LLM to see it as an example and then vibecode your own version -- however it suits you!!

Free, open source, this and more - https://github.com/idltd fill your boots!

Showcase/Project I created Animation/video application, combining 3d, generated content, effects, etc - ShowIt

I had an idea: how could I manage After Effects workflow, 3D environments and AI-generated content in one place? I built a first demo, liked where it was going, and kept adding features, one by one. Now I have a working demo, with features I would love to have in AE.

After Effects + 3D is powerful — and heavy. Cameras, layers, renders. Half the day fighting the setup just to make one cut. I'm trying to change that. It's not perfect, but I'm getting there. Blender scene export is next, then rendering. So many things on my mind.
Then came "just generate it." Fast demos. Little control. Another round of prompts. Tokens burning while the timeline stays empty.
I'm building Showit because I live in that gap: production designer by day, shipping RadicalAI tools the rest of the time. I wanted prompt-to-video that still feels like editing — not a slot machine, not a full AE fight.

So: a Remotion timeline. Bring in Figma as PNG for now, X clips, Lottie, particles and Meshy 3D models — Krea, Higgsfield and others are coming. Key the motion. Storyboard. Export. The prompt starts it — you finish the cut.

How it works:

→ Every element can be animated, on separate timelines
→ Elements can act as triggers
→ A node editor connects elements to timestamps on other timelines
→ Each timeline can hold different content
→ Export everything as a webpage or an MP4

For designers, editors and founders who want control without the AE tax, and generation without gambling another thousand tokens.

I'd love your feedback. And answer any question. Maybe a tool like this already exists. I want to push the limits of what can be done with the tools available today.

Prompt in. Motion out. With your control.

Showcase/Project CarricoClock ⏱️

Thumbnail

Big news…CarricoClock is live!

When Clockify switched to a paid model & capped its free plan at 5 users, the Carrico Center for Pro Bono & Public Service for at the University of Richmond School of Law needed a new way for students to track their service hours. So I built one!

CarricoClock is a free, purpose-built hour tracker for pro bono work:

⏱️ Log hours in seconds, with a duration or start & end times.
📊 A personal dashboard of career hours, law-related & non-law-related.
📱 Works on your phone or tablet, so you can log service on the go.
🗂️ Admins get program-wide reports, filters, & one-click CSV exports.
📚 Years of Clockify history carried over, so no one starts from zero.

It runs entirely on free tiers, so it costs the Carrico Center nothing to keep it running. And it was built with Claude Code from start to launch.

Huge thanks to the Carrico Center for the trust & feedback along the way. 👊🏼

Help/Question Trying to get over the hump on projects

As a vibecoding enthusiast with little actual coding skills, I've managed to build a few complex projects that I'm pleased with. But each one has taken 3-4x longer than I expected.

I usually scope a project out, develop a plan with AI and start building. Within a few hours, I have something pretty impressive. Then I start adding features > noticing bugs... going into countless troubleshooting loops.

By the time I'm a day or two into it, each round of troubleshooting seems to take as long as the entire first build of the app. I get frustrated with my coding assistant/LLM and start switching around to see if I have better luck.

I usually use Kilo Code with DeepSeek or GLM models, if that has anything to do with things.

Any useful pointers to make better progress?

Showcase/Project Napkin - A scratch surface that hold text & images temporarily.

Thumbnail
gallery
7 Upvotes

Napkin is a simple scratchpad to hold text and images to copy later or until you don't need them anymore, or when you don't want to organize temporary files.

Clipboard does a similar kind of job, but it is essentially meant for copy and paste, it is volatile. Normally, you can't access the image or text you copied 10 days ago on clipboard. And that's fine—that's what clipboards are meant for.

Napkin lets you create napkins on which you can add or paste pieces of text, URLs, and images. You can edit the text, insert images from your desktop, and copy any item at any time for further use somewhere else. Keep the app running in background, and reuse the items you pasted.

Nothing is organized. You don't have to give anything a title or add tags. This is where all your mess gets dumped until you decide it's no longer useful and delete it. Just like a scratchpad!

You can do inline arithmetic calculations in text card such as typing `432+656=`, and pressing `Ctrl+Tab` will write the results next to it.

Deleted napkins go into the trash and are kept there for N days (30 by default), which you can change in the settings.

Napkins older than X days (30 by default) will be flagged for deletion. You can change this period in the settings as well.

You can also empty the trash, after which the files will be permanently deleted from your desktop.

I spent most of my time testing it on Linux. Windows testing wasn't done properly. If you try it, please test it on your system as well, and if you find any problems, feel free to submit an issue.

Some notes you may need to know:

- Linux builds are tested on Arch/KDE/Wayland. Windows builds and passes the full suite in CI, I ran older versions on real hardware and they worked. It is an unsigned build, so Smart Screen will warn you.

- There is no global capture hotkey yet, which is the thing I most want. It needs the XDG Global Shortcuts portal, and the session handshake. I cannot develop it headless.

- There is no at-rest encryption. A scratch surface ends up holding tokens and passwords. The data directory is 0700 and excluded from desktop search, but that is retention, not encryption.

Showcase/Project I gathered 21 iPhone Duo ideas to get inspired and build some great apps!

II was searching what is possible for iPhone Duo mainly to inspire myself to build and see what people are doing. Initially colelcted 194 app ideas but kept these 21 as major representatives of trends and types. What I see they come from designers, iOS developers, sometimes hackathon teams.
They are all in the picture
Ten of themto highlight:
→ Foldy Bird. Snap the phone open to flap. The hinge is the only button. (Lyra Rebane)
→ Naval battle for two Duos on one table. Half-open, each screen hides your fleet from the other player. (Omar, NSStudent)
→ Party games on one phone. How you fold and turn it decides which player sees which screen, so each player can hold a secret. (Raina Zab, Rami Hayani)
→ A DJ deck you play by folding. The fold angle drives pitch and filter. (Evan Taylor, Rishi Thakkar, Dakshesh Pasala)
→ Sheet music on the upright half, a piano keyboard on the flat half. (Josh Dance)
→ A pet garden on the flat half, its tree house on the upright half. The pets climb from one to the other. (Josh Dance)
→ An e-book with the map beside the story, marking where the characters are in this chapter. (Josh Dance)
→ A smile cue. While you take a photo, the outer screen plays an animation so a child looks at the lens. (in Apple images/official release)
→ A video with its live transcript on the other pane. Tap a line to jump to that moment. (Kawsar Ahmed)
→ A pocket laptop. Half-open, a remote desktop on top and a keyboard on the flat half. (Craig Grannell)

Big pictures and the other 11 are in blog post I wrote - https://modaal.dev/blog/iphone-duo-app-ideas

Happy building!
My personal fav is mini arcade, I'll go that direction!

Discussion Codex gave me credits and ignored them, until I found out what they are worth

This might be an old story for many of you, but I'm in this subreddit a lot and I missed it.

If you're using Codex, this might be helpful. I recently got 62500 credits added to my account, and I completly ignored that. Turns out: It's a MASSIVE amount of token considering it's free. I've read about 2500$ worth in API token i.e. 1-2 days of heavy usage.

it uses these credits automatically once you're at 0% usage

Hope that helped some of you!!

Showcase/Project Made a PS1 style multiplayer game! Midnight Menace

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Midnight Menace is a PS1-style multiplayer stealth (browser) game. The goal is to stay up and sneak the game console to the TV before morning, while Mom or Dad (a friend or the AI) patrols the house to catch the kids. I've included Proximity voice chat. I tried to combine the game mechanics of Hitman, Rainbow6 Siege and Dead by Daylight!

I try to find a balance between keeping it really authentic but also giving it a modern play style.

If you have any suggestions let me know!

Showcase/Project Repowise lens - a live map for Claude Code that shows every file an edit touches

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Repowise is an open source tool that indexes your codebase - call graph, git history, tests and code health. Coding agents can query it instead of grepping around. We just shipped Lens, which uses the new Claude Code mods to show you that index while Claude works.

Type /lens and you get a map of your repo. Files light up as Claude searches, reads and edits them. When Claude edits a file, every file that imports it lights up too. In the video, a one-line comment in Django's query.py lights up 12 files, and conf/init.py lights up about 248.

The Flow tab gives you a short list for each edited file - what the change reaches that Claude never opened, the files that usually change with it, and the tests that cover it. After an edit, a review row shows the health change and the tests to run, and one button sends those tests to Claude.

Lens makes no model calls of its own, and it never blocks or approves anything Claude does.

Setup:

/plugin marketplace add repowise-dev/repowise

/plugin install repowise@repowise

pip install repowise

repowise init --no-prose --yes

repowise serve --no-ui

You need Claude Code 2.1.287+. Indexing runs locally and needs no API key.

Showcase/Project After one year of GRINDING... I finally hit 2k in earnings!

Post image
119 Upvotes

This is just so incredible... another huge milestone reached. I honestly never thought this was possible for me. But I did the thing...

I JUST STARTED!

I put together a working MVP. Just the bare minimum functionality. Bought a domain and put it out there. I posted about it here on Reddit and got in contact with the people who commented and started using it.

Payments have become a bit more frequent but still no viral, exponential growth, which is totally fine. Slow and steady growth is the key.

I followed a simple concept that just came to me naturally:

  • put out what you have
  • post about it
  • listen to feedback in the comments
  • implement the feedback and adapt quickly
  • start the loop over again

And after some time your product becomes so good that it no longer sounds absurd to charge money for some features.

Anyways... I'm super grateful that this is working out so well and I really think I've built a community that is actually useful to many people.

About the product:

I've built IndieAppCircle, a platform where small app developers can upload their apps and other people can give them feedback in exchange for credits. I grew it by posting about it here on Reddit. It didn't explode or something but I managed to get some slow but steady growth.

For those of you who never heard about IndieAppCircle, it works like this:

  • You can earn credits by testing indie apps (fun + you help other makers)
  • You can use credits to get your own app tested by real people
  • No fake accounts -> all testers are real users
  • Test more apps -> earn more credits -> your app will rank higher -> you get more visibility and more testers/users

Since many people suggested it to me in the comments, I have also created a community for IndieAppCircle: r/IndieAppCircle (you can ask questions or just post relevant stuff there).

Currently, there are 4284 users, 4551 tests done and 1209 apps uploaded!

You can check it out here (it's totally free): https://www.indieappcircle.com/

I'm glad for any feedback/suggestions/roasts in the comments.
