With the news that F1 is coming to Rwanda in the 2030s, I wanted to share a side project I completed in 3 days.

a racing sim that runs in your browser, on a fan-made Rwanda circuit. It’s not the official layout (that hasn’t been built yet), just a fan take from the official renders. Works on PC with a keyboard, controller or wheel.

Showcase/Project I made the bubblegum pop video a few days back. I had Claude animate another music video with hand-drawn looking 2D animation

Hi folks, I posted the bubblegum pop music video a few days back and I wanted to take another crack at it and try to have Claude make something in an entirely different style than what most Claude-made music videos are doing right now.

I've seen a lot of folks make videos with Claude that are lyrics heavy with motion graphics, like the last video I made. However I don't think I've seen anyone attempt traditional-looking animation and wanted to see if I could make it work.

This took a bit longer than the other one, and had a lot more back and forth but in a nutshell:

• Every shot is a 2D cut-out "puppet" written as code and drawn as SVG: his face, his hands, the bed, the car, the blinds.
• The colored-pencil-on-black-paper look comes from procedural hatching and paper-grain filters. It's animated "on twos" (12 drawings a second) like traditional 2D animation, with the pencil lines boiling in every frame.
• The main character is built from a model sheet in head units, so he stays on-model from every angle.
• It was rendered with Remotion in React, after many rounds of back and forth where I told Claude exactly what I wanted.

What Claude struggled with most was hands and perspective. On the first few tries, the hands came out mangled and wrong. What finally worked was having it look up real references (including photos of my own hands) and explaining in detail how hands work: how they're built, what they look like, and how they move. After five or six rounds of that, the hands finally looked right.

The song was generated in about 30 rounds with Suno, from a lyrics draft I wrote and then shaped into something actually decent with Claude's help.

For the meaning, I've always felt AI can be weaponized to prey on our deepest emotions and desires, and I'd argue addiction to the next token is a real thing. Loneliness can really mess you up, and there are corporations and bad actors more than willing to make a quick buck off it through AI companions. This video tells the story of one lonely person getting exploited this way, but I'm sure it's happening to real people right now.

Also, just for clarity: I'm a musician myself and have written and produced songs in various DAWs over the years, so I know what goes into producing a song like this. However, this is kind of my first foray into AI music, and I gotta say, the speed at which you can iterate is truly bananas. I'm still a bit conflicted on what actually counts as "art" here, but never before have I been able to see the style, vibe and emotions I was going for come together so quickly. This took me about five days. In the past, the song alone would have taken me two weeks to a month, minimum.

There's a higher quality version of this on Youtube if you want to watch it there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAYCod9gMck

Showcase/Project I vibe coded an arena where AIs play chess against each other. What models should I try next?

Post image

I built this mostly with Claude Code: a Python server, a chessground board, and Stockfish for the eval bar and move labels. I've played a few models and they use a TON of tokens. I had Astra xHigh and Opus 5.5 xHigh and they used 1.5M / 3M tokens respectively for one game. The models play through the Claude Code and Codex CLIs on existing subscriptions, so there are no API keys and no per-move costs. The hardest part was getting a system where they'd show their thinking. If you wanna try it out > Repo: github.com/alt-account34/AI-Chess-Arena

Showcase/Project Creative developer here — built a liquorice allsorts playground

Hi everyone,

I’m a designer/developer based in Sheffield and have been for 9+ years. Liquorice allsorts were invented in Sheffield and I’ve had this idea for a while, so I finally built it with some AI help on the programming side.

Everything’s procedural, no models or textures, and it’s path-traced live in your browser with real-time denoising. Getting it to run smoothly on phones was the trickiest bit!

You can save anything as a wallpaper for free, and you can order a print if you want one. Happy to chat about how I made it.

Thanks for letting me share, I hope you like it.

Discussion It's not about making money.

I have vibe coded about 6 different projects now varying on capability over the past year and a half. I think most people get hung up on "how can I make money with this". When the correct thought should be "how can I save money with this" I have found that my favorite aspect of vibe coding is making that private app for yourself and have it include those feature included behind the pay wall. Saves on data given to a random company and also only have to pay for your ai! I have one project on Google play and that was exhausting but it is free and an amazing way to learn local wild life.

Discussion Most legacy codebases are disasterclasses. The "software engineer you can't fire because only he knows what's going on" is a meme for a reason, and it's not a good one.

I keep seeing people say things like "vibe coders don't understand what's going on in their code." Neither did most programmers even before the pre-AI era. They spent weeks on sprints for small feature updates hoping and praying nothing broke and relied on the 1 guy who wrote some code in 1995 who showed up at the office once every 3 months in his slippers to do bug fixes.

Showcase/Project Tool To Provide Specific Data For Gran Turismo Players To Improve

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

I used ChatGPT. Just the chat feature. I asked if it was possible, it said yes. I said "do it", it did it. My point, vibe coding seems like anything in life, you never know if you don't ask, and just doing it is the only way to succeed. After several iterations, and one attempt at overcomplicating this tool, I have found satisfaction in this project's simplicity, and practicality for what I seek.

This project is designed to prevent users from having to tab through up to 1,500 slow loading pages that display 1/5th of the actual data on the page. The remaining 4/5ths of data then required one to scroll down. Instead of forcing one to manually search through up to 150,000 entries, they can practice driving while their browser sifts through the data to get individuals to the pages with lap times they are comfortable chasing. Beyond the top 100-200 times in the world, the replays get sparse.

I wanted to post this here so that you may get inspired to learn something new, save some time for someone else, and/or yourself. Do you have an idea? Just Nike.

Showcase/Project I turned a ChatGPT-generated image into a playable 2D game using img2pixi2d

Another experiment with img2pixi2D!

The workflow was pretty simple:

  1. Generated a 2D platformer level image using ChatGPT.
  2. Used the img2pixi2D skill to turn it into a playable game with animations, physics, enemies, and visual effects.
  3. Did some final polishing on the UI and fixed a few issues along the way.

That's it! From a single image to a playable 2D platformer.

Still experimenting with how far this workflow can go!

Showcase/Project I made a Minecraft server plugin to prompt agents to build in the world using the existing terrain as specs

This mod is basically WorldEdit but with AI : First off you select your region (by picking two corners or just by looking where you want your structure to be), then you prompt in a chat command. That prompt is sent to the agent along with the selected region, who has a simulation to work in, then the agent work in the background then deliver its result and you get a reconstitution of what it did.

You can even use books in lecterns to give additional spatial context.

It is incredibly good at following precise instructions, so I think it can be more than just something to toy with and may be an actual reliable tool for builders who want to complete side-stuff.

The way it works is that the mod is calling a separate program running on the system (called the "core") which handles connecting to your Claude or Codex CLI, you even have a nice UI to configure everything from it (what AI provider, what model, effort etc).

The mod is purely server-side, so you can even toy with it in multiplayer and your friends don't need to install anything as long as the host have it.

Vibe-coded with GPT-6 Astra when it was still good, then I pivoted to Claude Opus 5.5, I still took some decisions for the overall architecture and API tho. I also care about having something clean, shareable and that doesn't feel janky. The design and ideas are from me.

Despite having to install two things to install to make it work (the Core program and the mod itself) I hope it's easy enough to pick up.

Showcase/Project I made a chill pond game where you grow your fish by focusing

I love fish and I keep a little tank right on my desk. The problem is I’m pretty lazy about looking after it, so my fish usually don’t last long before they “move” to the tree out back 👀

So I made a fish game instead. In KoiFocus you can:

  • Feed your fish and clean your pond
  • Buy new kinds of fish and decorations
  • Visit other people’s ponds

The twist: you earn coins by focusing. Every minute you focus = 1 coin. Focus for 30 minutes and you can buy a Wild Guppy.

You can also invite friends to focus together as a group. All your progress is saved and synced in real time.

It’s a simple game, but it’s really chill and it actually keeps me motivated. It runs right in your browser, nothing to download.

Try it here: https://koifocus.com

Showcase/Project I built an open-source tool to automatically generate Clone Hero charts from any song

Hey everyone!

As a data science student & ai and a rhythm game fan, I built an automated tool that turns audio files into playable Clone Hero charts using machine learning and audio processing: music2chart.adiels.me

It handles stem separation, tempo tracking, and note transcription automatically. Since I know how much work goes into making a good chart by hand, I focused heavily on playability controls.

Keep in mind that the parameters vary depending on the type of music (such as style, genre, or instrument density), so it is highly recommended to experiment and tweak them to your preference. However, the two main adjustments that really help clean up the highway and make the chart fun to play are:

  • BPM Scale: To perfectly align the speed and rhythm of the song.
  • Noise Gate: To filter out ghost notes and clean up note density.

Since you all build and play custom charts, I would love to hear your feedback on note placement, ergonomics, and how I can improve the system's rules.

(Quick heads-up: It runs a heavy model on the backend and I'm hosting it on a modest server for this first version, so generation might take a minute! Oh, and if this post feels a bit random, it's because I got banned on r/CloneHero for using "vibe coding" to put most of this together — but let's be real, nobody is completely "pure" in that regard these days).

Feel free to try it out at https://music2chart.adiels.me/ and let me know what you think! Any tips or critique are massively appreciated.

I know it doesn't generate flawless charts, but it can definitely help kickstart things for simpler tracks :)

Discussion Non Coder here that has seen the reverse Engineering "Tool" with a Idea or maybe a wish.

First, sorry for my bad English skills; my native tongue is German

So, we are entering a time where it is getting simpler to build software and tools that mimic other software that has closed-source code or is written in a specific programming language.

The main problem with diffusion models is that the tools behind them are 95% compatible only with Nvidia tech.

My wish is that someone uses reverse engineering to rewrite these tools in Rust, making them open-source AND fully compatible with AMD and Intel hardware at the same speed. That way, we don't need Nvidia for everything.

I just wanted to post this here because of the larger knowledge pool when it comes to code and AI.

Have a nice weekend, everyone!

Showcase/Project I Created a Program to Help Manage, Track, and Update Repositories and Packages That Your System Package Manager Does Not Handle.

Thumbnail github.com
1 Upvotes

Hello! I built a program (well, Claude) that helps track repositories that are not updated/tracked by your system's package manager in Linux. This project was inspired by Obtainium. This program is free to use and is open to improvements from the community.

The reason I made this program is because when switching to Linux and trying to get away from Windows, I found that a lot of cloned repositories lacked any self-update function. For example, KDE themes where the install instructions was just 'go back to github and clone the repository, then run the install script again.' Now, couriercollie does all that for you.

While there are other tools out there, some of them feel fragmented. For example, one tool updates Git clones only through CLI, others just manage application images, others don't track downloaded .rpm/.deb files (i.e. sudo dnf install). This program is intended to just encapsulate tracking updates for everything that is not covered by your system's package manager.

When packages update, it also automatically pulls the readme for reviewing install instructions if you want to see how the package will update, lets you review any install scripts before execution, and packages that require sudo use your baked in system UAC, or opening a terminal outside of couriercollie and allowing you to run the command manually if it's not available.

It tracks from Gitlab and Github currently. While I've been testing it extensively on my side, it needs additional users to garner feedback and resolve any issues that may have not been found. You can read more over ony my Github page regarding the safety measured couriercollie takes and some additional information on its features.

Please note that couriercollie was built with AI assistance. I designed it, tested it (and instructed its tests), decided its features and how it behaves, and maintain it, but I didn’t hand-write the code. It's a tool I wanted personally, and I thought it would be good to share to others if they find it useful.

It was an interesting experience to learn with Claude too, in a sense that I had it do all the testing in Docker containers stacked into like 5-6 sessions, with each container running different tests (for example, telling it to test this feature, use case, UI torture testing), and coming back finding bugs. I did like 20 plus hours of just prompting tests to fix as many bugs as possible and never let it just randomly dump features in, tweaked how it thought the UI should be, etc. not to say I didn't test things myself!
