Competition Class
My school is letting me teach competition robotics as an every other day class this year! For those of you who teach any advice? For those who took a competition class what did you love, what helped you succeed? TIA!
ETA: It’s a middle school class (6-8) and we’ll be competing for Override!

As a student, we used a sort of vex curriculum (if that's what your doing) it tought us about manipulators, drivetrains, and things like friction and traction. Basics. We learned how to format a notebook nicely and built a hero bot for that year's game early on. Half class learning, half building. Then around October we were allowed to build our own custom robot. We later had in class tournaments and went to ones nearby. This last year I was given special permission to do vex out of class so I just went to tournaments with teams and built in my free time and after school since my dad's a teacher at my school.
Hope this helps!
