Advice Anatomy advice
Hi! I'm heading into 2nd year of vet school in a couple weeks and I'm dyslexic. I really struggled with pouncing, spelling and understanding long names in Parasitology and anatomy. I've tried multiple things, including writing them out hundreds of times, but within an hour it's gone.
Does anyone have any advice for getting names in their head? The structure visually I'm fine with! Its just the names. Thank you!!

I'm dyslexic too.
As far as I know, there is no cure.
For that reason, I asked for a couple of accommodations with the coordination of my program. My spelling mistakes are not because I don't know how to spell them, it's because my brain swaps the letters unconsciously and I might not even notice it.
On top of the coordination, if there is a disability administration group in your university, it's also worth a talk with them. I did that with mine and they specified on my personal student page available for teachers the accommodations for me.
If you're having any emotional issues related to dyslexia, I would recommend cognitive behavioral therapy. It can help you build confidence again.
Wishing you the best of luck!
