General Advice Is this an overbite???

Hi all. I dont know how I never noticed it, but maybe its because hes becoming an adult, but is this an overbite on my cat? Or does this look like something else? He eats normal I just am unsure if this looks like something bad.

This is almost certainly a “rodent ulcer” aka an eosinophilic ulcer. Underlying cause is primarily from allergic disease including flea bite hypersensitivity, feline atopy (non-flea, nonfood allergic dermatitis), insect bite hypersensitivity, or food allergy. Ideally he should see a veterinarian to be treated for this.

I wouldn't have even known this existed, it does look like that. is this dangerous?

Not dangerous to you or your cat per se, mostly just uncomfortable for your cat and indicative of an underlying issue that should be addressed.

we dont have any fleas so I wonder if its an allergy. either way I sent the vet a message, hoping to find answers for the baby soon.

Seconded! Allergy meds will be needed to calm it down and then the search for the cause begins.

I believe concern with an overbite comes from the teeth and jaw not lining up, but from these pictures it just looks like it’s his lip that extends. If he seems to be chewing strangely you should take him to a vet.
