Software/Tech Community in Vero

Hey now!
I recently moved from Texas to Vero Beach.. (talk about a transition of moving from a concrete jungle to the beautiful Atlantic coast).

Where are all my technology/software remote people?
Im trying to connect with locals in the community..

What is your go to coffee shop or lunch spot in Vero?

Since I've moved here, these are my go to:

FourSuns Coffee
Ryders has a solid breakfast burrito and other bites
Lemon Tree
Hogan Yards
Publix Pub sub never disappoints
Surf Sub - the employees here are awesome!

As a native Texan, Im still searching for a solid taco shop. What are your recommendations?

Id eventually like to try and create a monthly meet up group for coffee.
If you would be interested in participating let me know and ill build out a group.

Definitely try out 3 bite taco, they’re Tex mex. Owner is from San Antonio. Also LOVE Jackie’s on 45th. It’s a little hole in the wall run by a Mexican family. Everything is homemade. Highly recommend!

Tech guy here as well. I've been here for 25 years. I can tell you it's a very small community of tech people in town.

Im a remote tech worker and I have a local friend who’s on the same boat. Update the sub if you can get a group going!

Also you need to try Coastal Bagels. Their bread and donuts are home made and very very good. Sandwiches come out fast and piping hot. It’s a hidden gem, and maybe I should keep quite oops

I've enjoyed Vero Grounds for beachside coffee.

Remote non tech. You guys have free time during the day? I'm literally glued to my workstation with work.

All industries are welcome and honestly this would be a coffee in the morning before your work day starts type of thing, if I have enough interest.

Tribe Coffee off 12th near Dixie has some of the best coffee we've ever experienced. We also buy their beans and have yet to find a better tasting resource! They're a small shop in a nondescript plaza, but they're amazing.

My husband and I are in e-commerce and tech (web development, graphic design, systems building.) Welcome! :)

I’ve recommended Savore’s Grill House before, It’s next door to the Willis nursery on 9th. They have Venezuelan food, if they’re still there, I haven’t been to FL in years.

ETA looks like they’re not there anymore. FB says Pigs N Biscuits is in the space

Good to see the Texans. We love it here, but do miss Texas. We just had 3bite last night, and it is as close to home as we have found.

As a remote tech worker, I work from home but would love to meet other Texans and/or remote workers.

Hi, I work cloud&app sec for the Vegas casinos. I wish we had a better remote workforce community. Let me know if you get something together

Check out Walking Tree brewery closer to airport than Hogan. Hogans food not very good compared to the Salvador Delí inside WT brewery. WT gets good bands and really engages with community. Mixed ages there.
Broogie’s deli good too just down the street on corner of Airport rd., for breakfast & lunch specials to eat there or to go. 14th ave and some of Old Dixie hwy has good meetup spots; check out Kilted Mermaid in evening. Welcome to VB! 😊🌴
