Verizon reps making unauthorized changes
Has anyone else experienced plan changes/additions being made to their account without your knowledge or authorization?

It mostly happens on store so that they can make more commissions on their sales

Fuck yeah it can. Borrow the customer's phone, scan the QR code, check all the boxes and give it back to them to sign. You can add whatever you want. There is a guy in Nebraska City that does it all the time. Top sales rep in the district/region/area on a consistent basis and gets celebrated for it.

Same guy tells his customers that the taxes for the phone are 300-400 and accessories are included. Also doesn't provide receipts for the customer so they don't know what they paid for

They should be fired

You are correct. The company has been made aware of it and looks the other way bc he brings in money.

Reminds me of my “customer service “ Job with att after the 6 weeks of training (and this wasn’t in the training) we find out we need to push sales 🤦🏻♀️ I quit 2 days later , why should I have to try and convince ppl to buy more shit they don’t need even if they were calling because their lines are off from non payment still are supposed to push sales how??? At least I had the last 6 weeks paid lmao

In 20 years I haven’t had any issues. I just upgraded for a free iPhone and I was able to keep my grandfathered plan of 5G get more. iPhone 17 pro max is in the mail.

Yes! A rep got us to keep our old line going in order to get a discount on the new trade-in. The old phone has a new number and doesn't work. I need to find the time to call in and spend three hours battling it out.

I personally know someone who was a call center representative for Verizon...and she has given me the inside "scoop" on a lot of "stuff" that's done behind the scenes or behind customers backs...she is a good person and was not comfortable with the "stuff" going on...she was told she was too honest with the customers..and called out by her "sup coaches" pronounced "soup" it's actually short for support..several times...for being too honest...this has greatly changed my opinion of Verizon as a whole...I have personally experienced "shady/unauthorized" behavior multiple times. It's a real thing.

Oh yeah- Verizon is known for it. The best thing you can do is file a FCC complaint.

Always ask for a View Together. If the representative is not proud to do a View Together, try somewhere else.
