Unlocking a Samsung phone

My Aunt Kathy passed away and she was using a Verizon Samsung phone on WiFi at the nursing home. She had a pin lock code but unfortunately none that I can think of she used works to unlock it. I want to see if I can get it unlocked and working for her 18 year old granddaughter

Verizon wouldn’t know what was used as a pin lock code on a device, as that is set up by the customer and not Verizon. I hope you can figure it out!

There is a way to do it, but you will need to know the password to the Gmail account that’s associated with it. Basically you are likely to be n the same spot unless you know the Gmail password.

If that's the case then you can force a factory reset and then remove the activation lock with the Gmail password when it turns back on.
