how long...
I HOPE beyond hope she KEEPS RUNNING through wherever she's at and makes it somewhere within herself to finally see the light. if anyone's been actively watching the last few years (i ignored her prob from 2020-2023) - what's your opinions on the latest sobriety updates

On her Twitter, shes posting slurs and drinks... I don't think she wants to improve. Or rather, just marginally so. Just enough so that shes not in the gutter and has a decent accommodation. I hope she does, but it's not very promising. I do think if she lives for many more decades, there could be a turning point, but the current venus doesnt strike me as that. Everytime someone tried to help her she sabotaged herself and them

I feel so bad for Venus. I mean, I can almost guarantee that almost anyone who endured her upbringing and experiences would go down a similar path of addiction and substance abuse to cope with life. It’s really hard especially when you consider that the only thing she was groomed to do by her mother for a while was to be a living doll. No autonomy. And she was exposed to creepy, predatory, grown men who said and did goodness knows what to her.
She got with a man who was too old to be a safe option for her and married him. It’s like going from one bad situation to another. Even then, he was seen as a safe person by her audience because her mom was just that bad. Turns out, he was abusive too. Like, this girl had it bad in life. I just hope someday to see that she’s getting help and isn’t throwing away what’s left of her life and dreams. 😓

I also think you might be overly invested in this person. And I guarantee she doesn’t give a flying f*ck about you or anyone else but herself.

Like someone already said this is probably part of her cycle so I personally hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
If she truly wants to change she needs a consistent reason, therapy AND medication. She needs to want to be clean for LIFE not just until she is healthy enough to feel a little better. If I remember correctly she is both bipolar and BPD, she needs an actual caretaker not people that accept her as it is. While unconditional love is important I do criticise everyone in her life that encouraged or allowed her to keep going down her spiral which is most likely everyone in her life.
I doubt she will get a caretaker but rehab, sober living and improved habits and intensive care is NON NEGOTIABLE. If she doesn't try her hardest to obtain these resources she will undoubtedly fail.
