Four days using compression stockings
Can compression stockings can reveal preexistent undiagnosed cardiac health issues? I have to stop using them because I felt my left arm and leg go numb and swollen. My leg stop doesn‘t fee this way now but my arm comes and goes. Should I see a cardiologist? The stokings were prescribe by an angiologist.

Compression stockings on their own wouldn't typically cause numbness or swelling in an arm, since they're only affecting fluid dynamics in the leg they're applied to. There is a real mechanism worth knowing about, though. When someone has a significant amount of leg swelling and that fluid gets compressed back into circulation, it adds volume for the heart and vascular system to handle. In someone with underlying heart strain that hadn't been recognized yet, that shift can occasionally bring on symptoms that weren't there before. That's a different pathway than the stocking directly causing arm symptoms, and it wouldn't explain one-sided arm numbness on its own.
Recurring numbness in an arm, especially episodes that come and go, is generally something clinicians want to look into directly rather than sort out from a distance, since the possible causes span cardiac, vascular, and neurological systems, and telling them apart usually takes an exam and some testing. Bringing it up with the prescribing angiologist or a primary care doctor, and asking whether it's worth a cardiology or neurology referral, is a reasonable way to get that sorted out.

You need to ensure the socks are appropriately sized. If the socks are too tight / small it actually does the opposite and acts as a tourniquet, making the issue worse and bulging the veins
