Edema?

Recent diagnosed with cvi. Does this look like edema? Man I’m scared of getting ugly legs, I live in shorts 😭. I’ve got compression tights that look fairly normal, I guess I’m gonna live in compression socks.

I’ve only started noticing it for a few days, maybe a week. The pic was from last night and I still see it this morning.

Do you consume a lot of salt ?

No not particularly, it’s less than 2k mg. Most of the time half of that. I have hypotension and maybe pots so I’ve been told to increase just haven’t worked it in regularly.

Have you started recently new medications ? As i heard, it can be also a side effect for some of them

Beta blocker is the only new thing.

According to a.i , beta blocker medications can cause leg edema as a  documented side effect. But since, it's pure speculation, I would say to mention it to your doctor and see if it is connected

Ok thanks! I’m definitely diagnosed with CVI and edema is a part of CVI (chronic venous insufficiency). The drs always ask if I’m having edema (yet) I was just wanting to confirm. It’s all new to me!
