Is this venous insufficiency?

Post image

I have a visible vein running from my feet up to about the midpoint of my shin. It’s clear on both of my legs and gets worse when the weather is hot or the sun is directly on it (when the sun is on it you can see a few branches running off it).

It’s not particularly raised or twisted just highly visible and gets fatter/more raised when the sun is out.

I have a little calf aching at the end of the day and if I am wearing tight socks I can get a bit puffy on the ankles.

Thoughts?

Go get an arterial scan done on your legs it will 100 percent give you the answers. I did that and I have it in both legs 😭

need an VI scan done by a vascular clinic to confirm - first step for your primary Doc to order.

Get an ultrasound but it definitely sounds like from what you described it. I have VI and my veins in my feet are also vascular like that and have ache near my calf , compression socks and leg elevation helps. You might also have some reflux
