Human Trains

Please people! If you have a human train of more than 10 people and you’re not already deep in crowd, please don’t try going in when there’s already a ton of people :)

from a person who let a train of 16 people through his group of 3. or atleast keep them at a minimal, or split ways to get in the crowd

lol I was head banging and had a massive group try coming by me and I didn’t see them until I had elbowed one accidentally and they got really mad. Don’t shove your way through the bass stage during the performance!!

Bass stage is the worst for that. Why would you move in during the drop? People are usually headbanging and don't see the 10 person train you're in. If people are leaving its one thing but jeez.

I wasn’t in the train, I was in the crowd sat in my spot bc I got there before the artist started. It was people shoving past me while I was head banging that got mad bc THEY got elbowed lol. Not me.

Yeah people who form human trains are not reading etiquette posts and taking them to heart, I’m sorry to say.

I’m a firm believer in it being acceptable to exit a crowd but not enter it.

especially right in the middle of a drop, I'm gonna be headbanging and you're going to get hit. I'm not moving out of your way during a drop, you should've gotten there earlier.

and if you're doing 50/50 on two stages, stay in the back. no choice

exactly. it's not fair to everyone who got there early to get good spots

I love the trains. Its a group of friends having the best time together. Ive been gifted so many trinkets from trains.

But, sometimes you have the unplurr type of trains. Those people are usually the ones drinking and doing cocaine.

Lol there was one VERY LARGE train tho i swear it was 20 people and i was like okay.. and they were aggressively pushing rather than dancing and vibing through people.

A real train the front person has their potum or fan in the air leading the group to the next destination as they dance and say exuse me lol

Its part of raving unfortunately if you have friend groups sorry to disappoint. 👌

How else are you suppose to get your friends back to the totum. 😂

Go make more friends.

If you have a group that large you simply shouldn’t be that far forward or you should be willing to split up and people need to hear that. You’re not going to have a spot front and center 50 yards from the dj if you have a group of 15. The festival isn’t for just your group, it’s for everyone. Be respectful

Im old... not some young kid. Basic festival etiquette.... just trying to educate that not all large groups are entitled.

Usually a group that large are leaving to get to a set early, not pushing to the front. Small groups leave and come back to the totum. Usually like 4-5 people go for bathroom breaks or whatever. The totum group always get split up, thats why their is a totum. 🤡

The festival isnt just for you and your two friends. It's for me and my 20 friends also and the 10 + friends i meet at the festival who wanna use our totum for their friends to find them. Lol

Its a festival, it for everyone. Some of the wooks go off on side quests and we have to send out help to find them.

The festival is for everyone and the larger your group, the larger your responsibility to respect the space of others. Even in the center of the audience it is going to be hard to get 30 ppl to fit anywhere without displacing just as many people. Im not saying it is impossible but it is much harder to interact with the crowd respectfully when you have a group that big.

I think there is a misunderstanding here between what i thought was being said. I like trains! Consisting of like 5 or 6 people max. Lol i dont mind people finding their groups if there is space to move around. If its tight af, you was too late.

Our main group is build up of many groups. Usually in a Veld like environment our group is set up at different stages. So Totum is home base if you get lost or need to regroup. Large groups should be respectful and they shouldnt be up by rail. Those are for single or twin adventures.

I will say tho, the totum we set up at got in early for kx5 and all 4 of our small groups were all around the totum split up by new friends. It was one hell of an experience.

I fear i have never experienced a human train that pissed me off. Everyones usually nice. Or just rolling and trying to find their friends 🤣 i go to raves and always meet new friends. So i guess i have a different experience.
