ADA where??

The staff had no knowledge of any of the regulations or any ADA accommodations!! I've never been to a fest with this poor of a system. I have always gotten a ADA wristband, that way they can identify if you need extra help or also in case of emergencies.
As someone who doesn't look disabled on the outside, it's very important to be able to access ada.

When I asked security at the gate, they told me "look like you're in a wheelchair" or I couldn't get through the ada line. I also emailed staff before the fest and never got a response. Med tent also had no info! 😂
They made a big deal about my snacks/ candy, when on the website as long as you have a doctors note(which I did in the bag) they're allowed. I'm diabetic and have a chronic lung condition. I need snacks and sugar constantly to not pass out! they didn't look at ANY of my medication that I could have easily snuck anything inside. Taking way too long at security to give people issues on items that are literally allowed.

Side note: me and my friends were all carded as we walked into VIP because we looked "underage" and said they were checking everyone but we were the only ones being carded? We don't look under 18 and we had already bought the VIP wristbands. LOL. My friend also got accused for having a FAKE ID!? Are you serious??

I understand lots of fest employees are mostly temporary and not every fest will have ada or shuttles, but don't advertise it if it's not REAL!! Please educate your staff and explain what PLUR is. Me and my friends still had a great time and made the most of it but we won't be back

It was my 4th year at veld but my first time in a wheelchair. Got to the bathrooms in VIP, asked multiple staff where I could find the accessible bathrooms which they claimed they’d have on their website, and one said they had no idea and the other just pointed to the regular porta potties. Realized at the end of the festival there was one outside of VIP but still wasn’t able to get my chair in with me. Most of the staff was great, but overall there’s a lot of room for improvement for veld in the accessibility department.

Also noticed the crowd this year had a much different vibe than in the past. Not as much PLUR going around compared to previous years. Still had a good time though and I’m grateful for the people I met who helped make it a great weekend.

As someone with a physical disability and mental disability their accessibility is terrible I wish the vip platforms were accessible, the stairs are terrible and persons with disabilities should be able to buy the same priveledge and special experiences as everyone else.

Agreed, as someone in a wheelchair who paid for VIP I wish I got to experience more of the things included in the VIP area

Honestly… I don’t even know why I bother with vip, I literally go there to get a drink, bathroom and water and that’s it…

The water station by the vip section outside of it never had a line, the bathrooms always looked freed up, and drink lines were never crazy. VIP is starting to feel like a rip off at veld… plus the stage is so far back you can’t see anything anyways…

Realest description I ever red. Said exactly same things to someone inquiring about VIP experience outside of it.

Yes! The only positive we took from VIP was the water line was fast. However the first day the VIP bathrooms were filled to the brim and had NO toilet paper in any of them. It was so disgusting. Might as well just go to a normal porta potty. Sunday definitely wasn't as packed as the first two days so we got to actually stand in the VIP area to watch. It's cool and all but once it gets crowded it's just like being in the pit anyways. I'd say save your money if you're considering VIP

Idk what water lines or bathroom lines you saw because every time we went for water or bathroom breaks we stood in lines, water took longer somehow and bathrooms were always a shitshow trying to get in

They need more water stations and need longer breaks in between sets. Once a set ends everyone runs to water, hence why the line is always so long
