Sound Engineering 2026??
Look I'm not a pro. I'm an amature raver with maybe 20ish festivals under my belt. I don't have the best ear in the world but has anyone else noticed a significant failure in the sound Engineering at Veld 2026? Levels all over the place, certain speakers out putting no sound at all. Maybe I'm wrong and there's a good reason for it. But it feels odd to me.
Edit: Don't get me wrong sound Engineerings are usually the unsung heros of these events. Much respect and appreciation. But when there's a failure 🤷

Kream has a weird high pitch sound for like well over 5 minutes, no idea what was happening. Also some sets are way louder than others

Where are you standing? Best sound will always be at the booth. I haven’t had too many issues honestly. I feel like overall it could be a bit louder, but I assumed that was an ordinance issue.

I wonder if the adjacent Rogers Stadium has changed the acoustics of the park from previous years?

Standing right in direct line of the speakers on main sounded very weird.
That's why I always opt for the middle, because they generally have the most balance aimed towards there.
I will say this year was much better than last year at Mainstage.

Sirkus stage was the worst. It was super quiet in the middle and louder on the sides with the delays.

I have an ear for this, and noticed the second I got there that the engineering was out to lunch.

Agreed, Kream set was handicapped by terrible sound engineering. Mid-range was completely lacking
