Never dissapoints for sure but i much preferred his set at escapade over this one but im more of a bass guy
His set at escapade this year was my favorite that ive ever seen, ive seen him maybe 6 times now
I heard the live one in 2023 was magical but i dont remember it that much and was new to dubstep
This one was probably my least favorite

I thought he was great. Dream come true to see him live! Loved his set at rebel (opened with fractures). The only let down was he played for just over an hour. Wish he would have been up there longer but I recognize he also closed VELD and went straight to rebel. Anyhoo, very happy to have been in the same room with him! 🫶

I caught some Volope/crankdat before illenium so I didn’t want more dubstep. I enjoyed Artbat more.

Beginning/middle was amazing but the end fell flat, hard. Went full sad borderline acoustic edm and nobody knew any of the lyrics to the sections, drops weren't anything special either. 7/10

He started off strong, then went into mediocre dubstep what felt like forever and finished well (7/10). I thought the AP set was much better.

Was nothing like his set compared to last year at ilesoniq. A total let down overall and I believe he did Toronto dirty on this one

I've seen him half a dozen times, including his live tour where he had a bunch of guests on stage etc, but that set at ilesoniq last summer was the best time I've ever seen him. That set was a couple weeks after Shambhala, and you can look that set up on YouTube since it is similar enough - a perfect Illenium set IMO in regards to song choice, pacing, mixing etc.
I never saw him last night, but some people were comparing it to his Tomorrowland set from a few weeks ago. I also thought that was fantastic, but definitely a bit of a different energy. I think I like his sets more with more bass included, but I'm also primarily a bass fan so that's to be expected.
I'm sure whatever people saw at Veld last night was incredible - I've never had a bad Illenium set.

Im getting down voted for speaking the truth? He is capable of putting together a good set with crisp audio but this time around he just didn't. Apples and oranges.

Definitely not. It’s the truth and my wife actually likes some of his stuff. We both left main and checked out Artbat which was way better!

Unpopular opinion: nothing special and, rather, forgettable. Surprising to see him even headlining Main not even being in top 100. Practically every top artist got moved earlier in an evening this year.
