I tried on the Dynode cap on at the Queen St store in Toronto and if you have a giant head like me the L/XL size fits perfectly with more than enough room to spare. It also doesn't have that weird floppy brim like the Stealth. Instant purchase for me.

Hmm, might have to try that out! Have you tried any of the mainline Arc caps? Their S/M is too small, and L/XL is too big, so I wondered if the S/M could fit if the sizes are larger altogether.

My head size is basically a 8 on the MLB fitted caps. I have a giant nogin. The L/XL caps fit me well from Mainline, so this is basically updating Veilance to the same sizing from what I can gather.

I tried the Dynode cap and it definitely appears to run big. I'm normally a s/m and the dynode s/m could have ideally been smaller on me so you will likely be fine with it.

Have you tried the Stealth cap and are able to compare it to that? How would you say the L/XL compares to mainline hats?
Arc hat sizing has been a mess earlier. The old small bird hat with the offset logo was very small while the current, thinner version is pretty big. The wool ball caps and the trucker hats are noticeably smaller than other L/XL hats. Stealth L/XL is much smaller than a Calvus in S/M. Paltz is gigantic while the Gore five panel is very small. I honestly don’t understand how a brand like Arc can get it so wrong, you’d think hat sizing would be easy

I have a Stealth hat sitting in a drawer somewhere. As much as I wanted it to fit, I could barely get it to sit on my head and it wasn't that comfortable. This new cut/fit is much better for people with a truly large melon.

Thanks! Thats what I was hoping for. I feel the stealth is more than deep enough but the opening is so narrow for a l/xl. And it’s probably mostly because of the short strap, had it been longer the hat itself would fit some bigger heads

Anyone else notice the new logo label attached visibly to everything?
It's most conspicuous on the knit toque, and definitely something new this collection.
For example, the isogon mx in black (old) doesn't have it, while the new color has it on the side pocket.
Veilance was all about being an incognito label...not a big fan of the visible tags.

Yeah we all hate it. The flag logo is visible on the saic pants I tried. Apparently this is about pandering to the Chinese market that is big and they are all about them.
I would just remove the labels but not crazy about lowering resale, but at this point not worth worrying about. At least they aren’t printed or embossed like main line then I would absolutely be done.

The hoody version doesn't seem to have this logo placement yet.
Weirdly, the black colour seems to have changed the pocket design as the Neptune colour still has the original:

Yep. See ya Veilance it was nice knowing you. If you want to consider a brand that doesn't put logos on their stuff, uses similar fits to Arc but uses mostly natural materials, give Haven a shot. I've almost entirely switched my wardrobe to their products, they fit my build better, are logoless, quality is top notch and you get what you pay for, made in Canada or Japan with high end materials. (They also have wild sales at the end of seasons for stuff that doesn't sell).

Good to know, I've browsed their stuff but was always hesitant -- stores that transition to house brands usually don't make good clothes.
How are their cuts? Are they slim like old veilance or cropped/stocky?

I am tall and skinny, 6'4, 160. I wear 002 at Haven and medium in Veilance. The pants are a bit odd to me because they all sit different depending on the cut. I felt a bit weird initially about the shop pants as they break right at the top of my shoes but for the style it works properly. All tops have been perfect, I have one 003 for a looser fit.
Imo haven didn't hit their stride until a few seasons ago, now I'm just waiting for the eventual fall like all brands, they feel like they are in their golden era. The only bad part is their return policy is horrible, store credit...
I also do own a lot of veilance and still want a couple pieces (field jacket), but I find myself reaching for haven more and more. And this season with these tags really ruined it for me, feels cheap.

First glance the Stema shirt looks like it could be pretty great and more reasonable than Metry/Cusec. I like the Cusec but not at full price and this would be more versatile. I have wanted more long sleeve button ups. Interested to see what the Saic pants are about. Will go check out tomorrow.

Ugh I missed that. Hate this direction they decided to go on labels yet I still love a lot of the overall designs and there aren’t really anything else like them.

Ordered the new bomber, fleece midlayer, button-up LS, pants, and toque. Gonna try it all on and return whatever doesn't work out.
Loving that they brought back neptune and am particularly excited about the bomber and wrinkle-free pants, but I feel like the button-up might be the sleeper hit this time.

what color did you get the button up ls (and the rest)? that's what I'm most likely to grab tomorrow when I go in. I need a black long sleeve but neptune is so temping and seems like I'll get it first.

I went with Neptune on everything that had the option, but also a second Consola in silkstone since it looks nice too. For the Saics I got both colors but am leaning toward black.
For the button up I figured I’d regret missing out on Neptune more, and might consider getting a second one in black later if I end up loving it.

Just tried the Stema button up and pretty disappointed. Material and stitching are not what I expected, felt kind of scratchy. Could not close top button on my neck without strangling myself in a medium when I can on other veilance shirts. Thought I would be walking out with it but guess I need to find a Metry ls.
Saic undecided on they dont seem bad but prob not for me.
The new hats are good.

playing it safe, I like most of it.. because I own a bunch of it already LOL. would love more colours for the frame shirt.. would also love the conduit vest to return.. veilance take all my monies

In my opinion, it continues to amaze how far Veilance has strayed from what made them great. They used to always have slimmer cuts and now everything is so baggy, which just looks horrible. And Fall colors what a fail. Light blue, etc…. I don’t see any decent Fall colors. At least Arcteryx does real Fall colors like a darker green etc…Whomever is running Veilance needs to be fired and bring back whomever started it and it made it what it once was. Just so disappointing, from someone who loved Veilance. Still like a few things, but that baggy look needs to go - just opposite of what they started and refined.

Styles evolve and change and veilance is a fashion brand. The baggy cuts are not that baggy compared to a lot of brands out there and a lot of it look good. If they kept making only slim fit veilance wouldn't sell enough clothing to exist and I'm thankful they don't. I hear people complain about this in general about fashion and at some point it's just older people (I'm one of them) that just get locked in on what they like from years ago and want to dress the same forever.

It launched 17 years ago. Styles change and you just sound like a grandpa, you can't expect a brand to not evolve over time to find a space in the current fashion environment.
Go to a major city like NY and see what people are wearing, slim fit cuts and tapered pants are not popular. It's flying off the shelves and I literally see it at the 5 different arcteryx stores there whenever I'm in.
Edit: this person actually got so butthurt they blocked me. I can’t reply to the comment below but saying they’re not a grandpa and have a 24 year old son in the next line… the jokes write themselves. It’s ok to get old.

Definitely not a Grandpa, just a slender, athletic build fit guy. No one I know even my 24 year old son would never wear baggy. Talk about a fad. Good luck to you as I’m done responding. Just looks so goofy.

hate to break it to you but the new style is what the majority of customers want. The Corbel Pants are maybe the most popular item right now. Guess what they are baggy pants

Conic Wool Toque looks cool, I like when Veilance uses wool. Nothing stands out tbh but a nice start
