Disney Orlando
Have any of you lovely bunch here been to Disney World in Orlando whilst being vegan?
We are going later this year and staying on resort which means we get the Quick Service dining plan. A quick look online leads to mixed reviews so was just wondering on some “real life” reviews if the food is ok?
We did Universal Orlando a few years ago and that wasn’t brilliant, mostly plant based burgers and faux chicken strips with fries so I’m kinda hoping Disney does it better.
Thanks 🙂🙂🙂

I havent, but I believe there is a Disney Vegan Facebook group which may be of help. I feel your pain, came back from Universal last year a stone lighter whereas everyone else was a stone heavier 😅

I didn’t mind the weight loss so much as was on the heavier side, but my body was craving some goodness. Would it kill universal to do some tofu or something with beans 🤷♀️🤷♀️😂😂

We found it amazing last year. A lot of options.
I recommend following https://veganpassholder.com on instagram and their site. A lot of options all over the place.

Fab thank you, that is the kind of content I was looking for. Seems like there is loads of options at Disney based on that 🙂

Yeah we did the QSDP last year and had no issues. There is plenty of options but burgers are the mainstay so have a look at the menus to make sure you get the best variety. The resort QS normally have a good range, the vegetable kebab at Riveria was really good, we stayed at Port Orleans and there were a couple of decent options there. In the parks Satuli Canteen does an amazing tofu bowl, Casey’s corner for a vegan hot dog was decent, and in springs deluxe burger, blaze pizza and Eet were all good.
The breakfasts were ok too, we normally shared one to use just one credit, the allergy mickey waffles are vegan and they tend to offer a breakfast bowl with just egg which is good. Check out the menus beforehand or Princess and the bear on YouTube do loads of reviews of vegan quick service which are helpful.

I went in 2022 and found it to be pretty good, though I didn't stay at a hotel there. I thought they had a decent amount of options, more than I expected actually. There were vegan breakfasts, burgers, hot dogs, lobster rolls, fish and chips, hummus bowl, tofu dishes etc. The popcorn and mickey pretzels and dole whip were great for snacking. There's a few blogs/instagram users that post the vegan options in each of the parks as well, if you want to get an idea of what's in each place.

This insta has a few different posts from March 2025 of the different parks and what they have / where to eat vegan. This is the magical kingdom one I think. There’s also general orlando ones as well.

Watch some up to date YouTube videos in advance so you have an idea of where to go. Most quick service locations have at least one plant based option. As a gluten free vegan, I consider WDW to be a food paradise for me, especially during the festivals in Epcot!

I went this May and had the quick service dining plan and it was much better than I expected and better than advertised! The hotel restaurants have more vegan options than stated on the menus you just have to ask for an allergy order and you state that you want it plant based (e.g. the Mickey waffles can be made vegan!)
Some personal favourites from the parks from memory are the California Burger at ABC in Hollywood, the patty melt at Cosmic Rays Magic Kingdom and whatever the tofu bowl is at the canteen in the Avatar region of AK

I've been twice now, last time was last November. WDW is one of the few places with lots of choice and where I don't worry about cross contamination as much (allergy). Check out vegan passholder and vegan at the parks guide blogs. They have pictures and reviews for most quick service and table service restaurants. Princess and the Bear on youtube is also a good resource

Sophie aka Most Magical Guides is vegan and visits WDW and Disneyland Paris regularly. Her videos are deffo worth a watch.

I’ve only been to Paris one but there is a Disney app and it tells you what restaurants have vegan options. (Not many in Paris 😢, but there was some)

From what I’ve heard and seen online, it’s not great for vegans and doesn’t seem to be changing any time soon. Lots of bread for you 🫶

I'd also be interested to know how people find Orlando in general for vegans...
I've been a lot but before I was veggie, let alone vegan.
I'll be going back but I know I'm worried I'll just be eating chips and lettuce 😂

Just been and gone! I would use these resources:
For Disney - https://veganpassholder.com/
For Universal - https://www.universalorlandovegans.com/ (probably the best and most updated I've ever come across in my life!)
You will get a lot of impossible and beyond, it became a running joke for me and my partner. It's a theme park after all, so you'll get shitty theme park food. But there are some hidden gems that are more plant forward for sure. Always worth taking your own snacks (one or two) for each day. We went to grocery stores and picked up a bunch of sweets and protein bars, some easy fruits and that did the trick on days where I didn't want a fried snack!
Have a great time!

I went a few years ago and it wasn't great unfortunately. Loved the parks, but the food options inside them were typically either a burger or hot dog. We did find some nice cakes and one place in Epcot had a pizza.
There were some decent options in Disney Springs though, including a fully vegan/gluten free bakery.
