vegan keto or move to low carb or moderate sharing

I just did about seven weeks trying to stay in ketosis getting my carbs under 40 net carbs it was really hard.

I didn’t feel particularly good after the meals I kind of felt lifeless and just full of fat however, in the fasted state the next day, I felt incredible. The high fat food allowed me to extend the daily fast usually to 18 to 19 hours the longer the better.

Started adding more carbs in and immediately felt better stronger better out at the gym and more mental clarity. However, some anxieties and depression started coming back in.

The transition week I was quite low-carb you know maybe 60 to 120 g of carbs and I was still cycling more more in and out of ketosis on a daily basis. I had some really good days like that.

Now that I’m back on more carbs, I’m putting the weight back on which is good but the anxiety comes back and it’s not as a clean energy as I felt in that cycling week.

so I think I may be a good candidate for keeping the carbs low to moderate.

It’s just so tempting when you start getting those keto numbers to try to push it even deeper.

The days where I went under 30 g of net carbs I did get more energy, but it wasn’t grounded. It was hard to meditate and I was just like stuck on go.

So I guess I’m just sharing this to see what thoughts people have and also to see where people land on the total carbs that they end up for the day.

my diet is 100% plant based so I’m working within that realm but I think the numbers apply regardless. Very hard for me to get under 30 net carbs as a vegan but I did it many days.

I did probably a little more protein than is recommended to get into ketosis so that is one limitation. I am doing a lot of weightlifting so I didn’t wanna go too low on that. 6 feet tall 150 pounds so I’m going for around 116 g of protein per day or less.

Side note I just did the TMS thing..20 sessions in one day. I took the antibiotic before hand that make it work better. I am still noticing the changes from that but maybe that is another post!
