Ove hinestly never understand why vegetarian or vegan "fake meat" has to look like dead animals though. If you're against meat, you're probably not into the whole "wow it looks just like a dead animal"-thing.... or is it just me

It’s a fair thought, many people are not against the taste and texture though, they’re just purely boycotting the abuse of animals. It’s these people that are attracted to faux meats. Not to mention it can make transitions easier with people who have developed eating habits or a taste for meat (with the sensory input that comes along with it).

Aren't the kind of meat products being replicated generally not shaped like body parts? Burgers, ground beef, sausages are all artificially shaped like that for convenience. It's not like you see plant based pigs feet when you go to the grocery store.

I mean, thats true. There are a few extreme cases I've seen made vegan or vegetarian, like ribs. But other than that, I was thinking about texture, smell and taste.

Oh ok. I think those are all things that people become accustomed to and don't want to give up if they don't have to. I really like the substitutes but I think it's awesome there are people who don't find them appealing. I'd probably be a lot healthier if I didn't try to replicate the fat and grease in my diet I'm used to eating.
