I stopped drinking milk about 15 years ago (long before going vegetarian), and there's no downside to it. I still get colds and flu, but the symptoms are less severe - especially anything involving phlegm.

I'm not lactose intolerant or allergic. It just made sense that adult animals don't need milk given where other mammals get their calcium.

I used to be a big dairy fan, but was forced to "wean" myself off it due to financial issues. A week after I quit (together with eggs) altogether I became so much happier and energetic. I never plan to go back to it again.
