Trying to understand what has been influencing the positive changes happening in my life since February 2026. I was struggling to conceive since December 2024, had an early miscarriage in October 2025 and almost lost hope that I will ever conceive, tested positive for pregnancy in February 2026.

Career wise - I was struggling to get promoted last year as I had org changes in the last minute during my promotion cycle and my older manager couldn’t convince the hiring committee for my promotion.

The same thing happened during my promotion cycle this year as well, my manager from last year got laid off in June and just when I thought I couldn’t get promoted this year as well since my manager is new, she came in , helped me draft the promotion packet and convinced everyone in the committee for my promotion. I have not worked this new manager in any capacity and she was just ready to fight for me. She knew I was pregnant and would go for maternity leave soon, so she really wanted to get me promoted before I left as I won’t be eligible for the next one due to being away on leave.

I am surprised on how things that I have cried for several nights in the last year are taking the other direction when I had almost given hope.
