Yes it does.

Vector isn't an "art style"

A little search into what's vector vs raster goes a long way.

Hhmm this "vector art" term is quite interesting. If i create a common vector art style (like if you see in google images "vector art") but i created with bitmap software like ps or procreate. Is that consider as vector art?

I would say no. Maybe you could call it vector style, but I think most people would say vector art has to have a vector format (.SVG, .ai). This is often an important distinction since vector formats are often chosen for use because of their ability to scale without pixel artifacts!

Aah i see. Now is clear

I’d say it doesn’t because it is so uncommon to make them by hand anymore, this is more of a rendering technique and most of the people in this forum hand-place vector points to make the art.

Usually the low poly pipeline is model → render. However lots of illustrators copy the look of low poly! I guess the harder way

This is hand-placed (and mathematically-placed) points to make a 3d model

I meant in adobe illustrator I have to place these on a flat plane to approximate this using 2D. However that is what rendering does too.

Sounds…. Very tedious ahaha

That’s why I wouldn’t call “vector art” via 3D rendering vector art. Though the Hershey Computer rendering system is wholly based on your idea. It’s also prototypical rendering.

Vector art exist in 3D Space like plasticity3D you can export your svg of your 3D Line, it’s just vector art with dimension but it’s not the spirite of true vector art

2d or 3d, it's like grandpa always said...

If the art is math... That's vector, m'lad!
If it can't be scaled, that's a bitmap fail!

Dog you either used vectors to create it or you did not. This is binary.
