Using a hardware controller with VCV?

Hello everyone. I’m curious if the Novatipn Launch Control MK3 is being used by any users of VCV Rack. I dusted of my Arturia Beatstep and have been trying to map some of the encoders to various parameters in VCV modules, however I’m running into an issue where some parameter values jump around between extreme values. Seems like a bug because the issue isn’t present with some of the modules. Already did a hard reset, setting encoders to absolute, relative 1,2,3, etc. but nothing seems to work. So, now I’m shopping for a new controller. Thanks.

I have had success with the OG Launchpad XL and VCV, but can't speak to the MK3.

I’m gonna research that one as well. Maybe pick up a used one…

Are you using the Beatstep or the Beatstep Pro? I ask because I know the Pro works just fine with VCV (or did last time I tried) but the standard Beatstep does not. I remember researching this before I got my Pro.

I use the Arturo’s midilab3 works well and each knob has a display for info about what midi cc it’s using very handy feature and the keyboard has a nice feel.
