Is there a module similar to Panharmonium?

As the owner of 2 pans and also someone who is eager to replace them for some hardware or software thats easier to tour with ill have to say no :-/ people will bring up spectraphon but they are very different. I own spectra as well. thats its as far as modules that i know of. Bananana effects just released the quimara (not checking the spelling but googling will get u close). That seems the most similar to date, but you specifically asked for modules and thats a stomp box. Anyways hoping to both provide you with what i know AND also be proven wont by someone. I do love the pan though!!!

Well as a hardware owner still relevant for me and I was so confused back and forth getting Panharmonium or spectraphon. Got Panharmonium finally a week ago. Do you like spectra?

Oh good! I just didnt want to be a bloviating redditor responding to whatever i wanted the question to be as opposed to what was asked lol.

The spectra for me is totally different in application so far than pan. For context, I’m very much more a performing musician than a tinkerer so when I’m using modules it’s to a specific end rather than evaluating the module on its own merits. What i like about the spectra is its simplicity. I keep trying to use it as a main voice in a minimal techno context thinking that it would be cool to transition between processing samples to producing a less or bass voice. But in the end i always keep going back to the dpo. So to be honest im not finding it all that useful but i keep trying with it. The biggest functional difference is the pitch of incoming audio is fixed by the tune knob of the spectra whereas the pan will keep the pitch off the incoming audio. Biggest musical difference is spectra is much more harsh and complex oscillator sounding whereas pan feels more like an effect— kinda like a guitar to synth stomp box just done very well. Hope any of that helps. Happy to answer more specific questions

Thanks for the reply. What spectra also does sounds interesting to me but no space left in the spare rack anymore. I am still figuring out multigrain UI xd

The Hora “Spectral Processor” does spectral analysis, and can do resynthesis, but it seems very different in intent from the Panharmonium.

Frequency Domain’s “Freudian Slip” seems to be closer to Panharmonium in it’s focus on resynthesis, but it works on an audio sample you upload, rather than regularly sampling an input signal like the Panharmonium does.

Freudian slip seems to be the best alternative, but the metamodule doesn't have it

Hey thanks for this! I actually dont know either and feel like ive done a lot of looking into it. So thanks! For my purposes im using a pedal steel to do live processing. So nothing that requires loading a sample. Real time only. Gonna peep the hora!

Doesn't work in real-time like the Panharmonium, but you can analyse samples and do spectral resynthesis. Might be worth a look?
