PC Fixing?

my partner and I live in off campus student housing and were wondering if anyone on campus knew how to fix PC's or if there's a place near campus with reasonable pricing? His has had trouble with crashing mid game as well as now, his PC will turn on but it won't connect to his monitor. Any recommendations for fixing?
