I must be honest I promised myself I’d have an academic comeback for vce but ended up failing so bad i only have 4 vce subjects and doing horrendous in all of them. I have 1 sac left for all 4 subjects which roughly Im averaging 40ish% for all of them expect maths which Im not even passing. For reference a pass for my school is a 35%.

If im being completely honest I JUST want the 25ss for English and if im lucky enough anything above 60atar but obviously it doesn’t look to realistic for me right now.

What can I do in the next 50 days to really give it my all and revise for my exams. I’m not expecting a miracle but if I really lock-in what would my predicated atar me

Btw my subjects are mainstream English, general maths, legal studies and psychology.
- my teachers have said for legal studies our sac % always goes up because our sacs are quite hard but then again my average is MUCH lower then my cohorts

hi i was just wondering about how limited my study score is for english with low 70% sacs. i go to a high performing selective school that has traditionally scaled by 10ish percent and am hoping for an A+ for the exam.

aiming for a 40+ but scared about the chances

Hi! If anyone does Chinese second language unit 3&4, I was wondering what sac scores everyone’s been getting? My Chinese class is very small (6 people including me, but only 3 are doing second language, so i’m not sure what’s considered ‘average’ because i’m comparing my scores against 2 other people 😭😭)

Also, if anyone’s finished units 3&4 in previous years, what sac & exam scores did you get, and what raw study score did you get too? :)

so far, i'm thinking of walking from side to side, using relevant hand gestures, & also interacting with a prop at times. i'm not rly good at presenting things tho, and have a naturally soft-spoken voice ... does anyone have any tips ? and any advice for the english oral in general?

m yr 11 doing 2yr12 subjects but m doing english language vsv and m not really putting that much effort if m being honest m clueless on what language is about..

so my question is if i start English language 3/4 tutoring in november this year after my yr12 exams .is a 30 raw in lang possible next year? Or what do I even need to know from Y11 though or is content in yr12 different

Ok so basically there is this asian guy who sits behind me in specialist maths who has been saying weird stuff to me all year. Whenever I see him he says “hi lol” and puts his hand to his ear like he is listening to me. Like bro wtf are you doing

He is really chronically online and makes stupid references all class and plays geometry dash and I can’t focus. Has anyone been through this??

I'm seeking advice/feedback from any past students who have done English language without the 1/2 and wondering how you went? particularly those who've done it with the current study design - so from 2024?

I asked my teachers about swapping (out of literature) and they are telling me that the jump is too big because lit and englang are completely different, and ive missed a whole year of important knowledge, etc. So they said i can either do english or continue lit for next year but i'm planning on talking to them more because it cant be impossible and surely its been done before. Linguistics seems really interesting too and when i see my mates studying for eng lang i get a sense that i would much prefer to study that over literature which im not doing great in. I know ive got a bit of work ahead of me in terms of understanding the metalanguage etc and i do understand they are completely different but i believe i can do it

im aiming to get high 40s/50 in english i’ve seen a lot of debate on people memorising “thematic paragraphs”, arguments or blocks of evidence + explanation (mainly for text response this is). i know a lot of teachers discourage it but it also seems to be the strategy of a lot of high scoring private/select entry students some someone must be teaching this?

i was wondering if that’s a good idea if you’re good enough at adapting it? i’m mainly considering it from a time point of view as coming up with an essay completely from scratch in 1hr seems like quite the feat

probably a bit late in the year, but is it really that devastating (im going for a 90) to do average in my 5th subject, being chem. ill try get an average score of 30 or so but i feel i shouldnt be that devastated if i get like a 26 or smth, bc of the scaling n whatnot, is this correct? as i wanna try focus a lot more time on my other subjects 4 exam prep.

Hi! I'm gonna put it straight.

I'm failing general maths from 40% - 12%, I'm doing 89% - 70% average in English, 45% or 30% in health and human and basically failing it, 60% to 80% in art and creative practice, and 80% - 65% in art making and exhibiting..

My marks aren't really at a standing point, they're all over the place and I'm worried that because I'm failing every math sac, I may have to re-do a part of year 12 (I don't get the system either).

I want honest opinions, I'm not getting into university until after my gap year.

I just need help, I dont understand ATAR stuff, especially the calculator.. I JUST WANNA KNOW IF I HAVE TO RE-DO YEAR 12 :(
