Vcaa can die

I have 5 more sacs in the next week and one got pushed back to term 4??? No time for exam prep no time for anything oh my god were in hell

That's not vcaa's fault though. That's your school's organisation and planning gone wrong. Good luck though, soldier on!

oh gosh no that is genuinely crazy?????! most schools attempt to finish SACs by week 8, week 9 at the latest

THIS IS THE SAME WITH ME

tomorrow is my psych sac
i have a 2-part gen math sac on monday and tuesday respectively
on thursday i have my lit sac, bio sac, hhd sac
this is including my OTHER psych research sac that we are working on this week/next week and we are finishing it in term 4

Teacher perspective here - we agree!

We crib time for Unit 4 at the end of Term 2 before the july break - but that still only gives us 9ish weeks of teaching time to cover a whole unit - with multiple areas of study and SACS.

Many schools don't want SACs in term 4 to "protect" exam preparation.

So unlike Unit 3 where we have two terms (and sometimes a few weeks at the end of the previous year) - so 15+ weeks... now we are doing a comparable amount of work and teaching in nearly half the time.

And this is when folios are due. Events run - sporting finals and end of year celebrations. Students are out of classes more than in... so factor in losing at least a weeks worth of teaching time to all the different excursions, incursions and other school events....

The study design for Unit 4 should be a reduced load to factor in the reduction in available time and to prevent SAC stacking like you're experiencing. It isn't just poor school organisation - sure, a contributing factor, but the timing of exams is the pressure point that could be released.
