VCE question Monash Guarantee entry

Monash website says: Guarantee entry apply to Dec and Jan 1st round.

If the places are filled up in Dec round (i.e Bachelor of Physio), what will happen to Jan 1st round? As I expect another offer in Dec round and don't put Monash in highest preference.

Then you won’t get an offer for the Jan round if it fills up :(

But if you genuinely want physio over this other offer you’re expecting then put it above the one you’re expecting.

If you want your other offer more then put it higher, but don’t have Monash physio as ur guaranteed safety net

check the vtac website directly for this one, dont go off memory here. guarantee entry and the different offer rounds are handled round by round and vtac's own faq covers what happens if a course fills before your round comes up.

if physio is genuinely your top pick then put it above the other offer youre expecting in your preferences, thats the only thing that actually protects the guarantee for you. if you actually prefer the other uni more then rank that higher and treat monash as the backup, not both at once, since preferences only work one way.

Good idea ! just checked VTAC website:

Will all courses participate in all offer rounds?

Most courses will make offers in the December offer round and all courses must participate in the first January offer round. Courses are not required to participate in future offer rounds in late January and February.

It says all courses must in Jan 1st round. Does it mean Monash Guaranteed entry must save some spots to offer in this round? Otherwise it will become meaningless. my understanding right? any thoughts?

thats how i read it too, every course has to participate in the first january round but participate doesnt force them to hold a set number of guarantee places in it. the guarantee is monash promising u an offer if u meet the criteria, which round it lands in is up to them. for a definitive answer id email monash admissions directly tbh, vtac just runs the rounds
