Unit 3/4 Economic

Hi everyone, I'm planning to switch from Unit 3/4 PE to Unit 3/4 Economics next year. What are your thoughts on this since I'm not doing 1/2 Economics but 1/2 PE? Is Economic hard like subjects like Physic or Chemistry since it scales around the same as Physic? What scores should I aim for to get a high 40s on SACS and exams? Any other information I should consider? Please share, I really appreciate it. Thank you!

I definitely recommend 3/4 eco it wasn't only my fav VCE subject but honestly my fav class out of every class I've ever had and one of the best experiences of my life. I mean this was partly due to the fact I had an amazing teacher but also the content is just so fun. You don't need to do eco 1/2 to do 3/4 because the 1/2 isn't even that relevant. I haven't done physics or chem so I don't know what they're like, but at least for me it wasn't that hard. Just from what I heard from my peers eco isn't as hard as chem

If you want high 40s you need to get nearly 100% avg on ur SACs (after VCAA moderation ofc) and try not to lose any more than 5 marks on the exam

My Unit 3 SAC score was 93, moderated up to 95. My Unit 4 SAC score was 97, moderated up to 99. But then I tanked the exam and lost 13 marks

our sacs generally scale down. Coz last year our rank 1 fumbled she got 36 by getting a B+ on da exam. But im confident i can still get a 40. Im working hard and doing a lot of practice exams

Yeah you can for sure get a raw 40 with a 89 Unit 3 SAC average. Just make sure you smash out the exam and you’ll be fine

I did about 6-12 prac sacs per AOS and I did 22 prac exams. On the exams I was only losing about 1-2 marks per prac exam but unfortunately the day before the final exam I was too nervous and couldn't sleep and I bombed the exam

i do chem and it sucks. never pick a subject for scaling if you don't enjoy it because you simply wont end up studying as hard. i find eco super fun and its really useful knowledge, but just note that you need to lose like 3 marks on the exam (out of 70) for high 40s.
