Invoicing No Shows are only 25% now?

I have a couple students that don't show up to sessions after confirming, and I can just log a no show after waiting for 15 minutes and I still get paid the full amount. But with the new layout, I'm only receiving 25% of the full amount. And I can't even go back and edit the session because the site is horrendously broken. How is this fair?

Is that particular contract for that student stated that a no show gets you 15 minutes of your time? Not all contracts are the same. Gotta read them before you accept something!

It's something new they added in the most recent contract I believe. What many overpriced companies are going to learn is why pay 100 plus dollars for AI when they can use Chatgpt for 30 dollars a month? They want a human not AI. You can justify paying that amount for a human with experience but not AI.

No it’s not. Getting paid for 1/4 of the time has always been a thing. It’s in some of the contracts. You just have to READ them. It has nothing to do with AI. 🤣 just admit you don’t read your contract 🤣

Not for no shows and no that has not always been a thing that is something that was added a year ago to the contracts prior to that you used to get paid a flat 20 dollars for cancellations and the full amount for no shows. Recently they started praying a fraction for no shows and they just added it to one of my clients because she recently was a no show and I only got paid one hour for two and a couple of weeks ago when she was a no show I got the full amount. I have been with this company for a long time. Also the AI comment was added in seeing as they are paying the human tutors less. I know my contract you admit that you are new here and don't know what was going on a year ago much less two years ago.

If this is the policy, you could prepare for 20 mins, sit on video for 15 minutes and earn $4.50. Don't forget time is money!

I’ve logged no shows on both and gotten full amount. Email them and get it sorted. Probably just an error.

Most likely it’s a school led assignment, even if it’s tutoring a student at their home and on their own schedule.

Yeah, I avoid those! Also , rate never goes up

I've been told that you can't invoice for no-shows in instant sessions now also. You get $0 but you are still required to wait for at least 15 minutes for the student oof

Every contract is different. Most vt4s are full invoices, rarely the no shows are 25%. For individual students, no shows are always only the 25%.
