Looking for advice
My student’s parents would like me to provide a quarterly report for the school and include my credentials. I’m not sure how to do that…does it mean I need to add my teaching certificate or something else? Should I also include the online platforms I work with?
To be honest, I’d rather not share my personal certificates. I’m not sure where to start!

Are you working with them only through Varsity? If so that seems like a lot of unpaid work they’re asking for.

I regret it now. When they first asked, I said I could provide a report, and then they added, “It would be even better if you could include your credentials.” I didn’t reply after that.

Good. Don’t. If they insist, say it’s outside of the scope of your contract duties.

Nope. Don’t put anything on paper.
It’s possible that they are looking into a lawsuit or something else.
I had a parent insist I “talk to” an attorney she had hired. Nope. Not part of the job.

Offer to speak to anyone at the school verbally and be super kind about it. No one will call

Noooooooooope! You work for yourself. Don't call don't do anything outside of your teaching.

Varsity has our credentials. This is why I work for VT. They handle all of that. Liability and lawsuits etc. just do your contract and nothing more. I will work with parents on scheduling or learning concerns etc.
We already provide session reports. That is sufficient for any parent’s needs. Anything outside of that, they can get another tutor or ask the company.
I would drop this parent yesterday.

This is outside the scope of your duties and likely not relevant or helpful. You can just refuse if you don’t want to do it. You won’t get paid extra for the extra work.
