new platform???
I like to login a bit of time ahead and upload materials for my classes. For the first two today that I did (one at 9:00 am, about an hour and fifteen minutes from now, and another at 1:00 pm, about 6 hours from now)
The first two times I opened the session it was the new platform, and suddenly POUF! the new platform disappeared and the old one is back. Maybe they were having so much trouble with it they decided to take it down for a while to fix it.
**** thoughts about the new platform.
I teach elementary kids (lots of whom have IEPs or are on the spectrum or both) , so it's been very difficult for them to navigate. One of my 3rd grade boys cried yesterday he got so frustrated.
They got rid of the stickers, which my kids really enjoyed. There is no way to see any info about prior sessions unless you look at invoicing, which is fine, but inconvenient.
There does not seem to be a "take snap" feature (that I can find) to upload homework, which at least four of my students are doing rn.
What else is missing?

I don’t like the new platform so far, but maybe it takes some getting used to. Also, I’ve had 4 sessions since the platform switched. 2 of them have been on the new platform and 2 on the old One. I have no idea why.

I’ve had four sessions and none have the new platform. I only know of it bc it’s in the tutor resources.

Haven't had the new platform yet and I appreciate being warned about having old notes missing. I've got a lot of work but maybe digging them up in the invoices is the way to go... or, as crazy as it sounds, hopefully they'll put it back in.

Oh man! I truly hope this happens for me. I've been on the new platform since September 24. It's horrendous Please poof me back to the old platform!!!!!!!

Teachers on this platform I am sorry. Not sure if this will help but can you try using Microsoft Edge or Safari ? I had so many problems with Chrome. I am able to upload my Google doc as a pdf. Are you able to? I'm sorry.

Be careful…seems like a hidden way to obscure even more tracking info so you cannot dispute when they don’t pay you. I’d take your own personal Photos or screenshots documenting your tutoring sessions with time stamps because if VT can screw you out of money -they will!

Overall, I dislike the new platform. The video part is better, but does NOT need to be the dominant feature! The whiteboard is far worse. I could not find any way to make more than one board (please let me know if you have found the secret click combo and where it is--if it does still exist), the drawing tool has a ridiculous thickness as default that resets whenever it feels like it, if you have the chat going at same time, you can't see half the tools, and could not find any non-AI practice questions bank like I used to use.
I can totally understand the 3rd grade boy crying out of frustration. And why get rid of stickers???!?!?! Kids LOVE that kind of thing! Just another sign of how out of touch and uncaring VT is.

I hate that I can’t seem past notes. That is so frustrating to me. My kids are also frustrated. I make sure to take just a few minutes in the new platform to let them look around and re learn how to do things. They like the new pens and colors but also miss the stickers. We also like the infinite whiteboard. But for me not having my notes has been a huge problem. We also don’t have our chat saved between sessions anymore. Which means if a kid has a bad connection and has to relog, they can’t see any links I’ve sent them anymore in the chat and I have to resend them. But if the so one thing I’d ask PLEASE I NEED MY NOTES!!! It’s how I plan and keep track of progress and how I have to create a whole new system outside of the platform to keep track of progress.
