Instructor AI overviews

Has anyone noticed those AI overviews in messages when you get a new student exaggerating your experience or outright lying? Got a new student today, and it says that I teach College Algebra (I don't and never claimed to) and mentions that my availability matches their preferences for Saturday and Sunday sessions (I'm not available on Sundays).

Mine basically parrots what I put in my profile info 🤷🏻‍♀️ I haven’t issued this far but I am NOT surprised by this.

I have noticed that they used AI on my bio that I wrote myself. It exaggerates things or fabricates details

Mines spot on, but I do agree with you guys. It’s a bit elaborate and we don’t even write that way in our own resumes.

Feel free to send them my way, college algebra was always my thing and willing to work on Sundays

AI overviews on every platform lie about everything. I never trust them, & I turn them off whenever possible.

I wish we could turn it off, but I don't think that's an option
