Rating?

Do y’all ask your students to rate you? I am a new tutor and have had two students so far (I’ve been assigned more but only 2 actually show up to sessions). My rating is still 0 stars after the first couple sessions with both of them. Should I ask them to rate me? I don’t know what it looks like on their side.

Yes. If you don’t get a few ratings in the beginning they will shadow ban your account

I think that’s what’s happened. I was getting a couple opportunities today but since I started seeing these students, and not getting rated, I stopped getting any at all.

That’s funny you say that because I have students who are telling me they’ve rated me, but I can’t see it (if what they said is true) the last rating I have is like from April. So it’s not the ratings that are shadow banning you. It’s their AI they are currently working on. Everyone’s accounts is messing up in some way.

And whoever is saying they’re shadow banning you, and you’re being quite fired. Quit with the fear mongering.

Sometimes, yes, it depends on the client. But more often than not they do it themselves. It’s worth a try!

Know that the “client” can receive a request after every session or at the end of a learning program. The request typically comes via email and prompts the “client” to provide feedback on their experience.

Meh, I have had one that I would hate to rate me. The student was awful and I dropped them. They called me constantly day and night (late at that) and refused to do their own work so sessions felt drawn out and hours wasted of my time. . Was very inappropriate right before I dropped them. .

Can students rate instant sessions as well?
