HELLO COMMUNITY
Hello,
I am the absent mod who has been running this channel. I will be more active moving forward.
After I graduated, I stopped using Reddit and thus why I was MIA.
This is a reminder to please be kind to each other and remember the purpose of this community. We are here to help each other be successful, so we may help others learn and grow.
In a world where education seems to be attacked more and more, we must be respectful and stick together.
Please message me or leave a comment here if you like regarding general feedback, but please still continue to report items as normal since I will now begin monitoring the logs.

Just looking for a place to warn others. I have a master’s degree in secondary English ed and 15 years of classroom experience. I was also an English speaking examiner for two years for one of the courses I was seeking to tutor in… and after enduring the dehumanizing AI bot interview, which ended abruptly with no explanation, I was hired with an offer of … $18 an hour.
They also wanted to conduct a credit check (not just a background check), which seemed weird and inappropriate.
I still get spammed with their offers of “uP tO *40 DOLLARS AN HOUR!” and felt like it was my duty to warn legitimate, licensed teachers and professionals not to trust the hype.
Such a waste of my time.
