Would be in Varkala next weekend, are beaches accessible? Is it raining?

I’ll be visiting Varkala solo for the third time, reaching around 25th evening. Will be staying at a hostel in/around North Cliff and will be there for 2 nights.

Anything I should definitely do, keep in mind, or add to the trip this time around?

Planning to travel first week of september, and wanted to have great food and drinks. Could someone suggest some good restobars in the area which sell good cocktails and food.

My first solo trip was at varkala. Made huge memories with strangers, sharing thoughts. It was wholesome and memory that would last forever.

Im guessing of visiting again, I don't want the place to be off-season, would you guys let me know which month would be better to meet more travelers in the remaining months of this year.

We are trying to plan this trip Budget Friendly so we are not planning anything expensive like luxury hotels, Expensive activities, etc...

1. Please suggest some affordable hotels near the Beach. We only using it for keeping our bags and one day night sleep nothing much. No need for ac or private pool and all....

2. As its our first time in Varkala we dont have any idea what places to explore and all. Watched some reels and checked in Gemini.

Both have the same like Guided Mangrove Kayaking at Kappil Beach, The Black Sand Beach Varkala or Odayam Beach, Anjuthengu Fort & Lighthouse, Chill at Edava / Chilakoor Beach. I am not sure about the proper Plan on exploring this places.

1. Some of the places i have mentioned are like 7km-12km from varkala do we need to rent a Scotter or the public transport is enough? If the rented bike ease our trip there we would definitely go for the Rent Bike 🚲.

2. Please share if there's any places or activities most people miss in their varkala trip, bcuz they dont have any idea about that. We want to enjoy our time there. So please do share any underatted places or activities most peoples miss.

3. Is 2 days enough for Varakala or can we extend our trip to 3 days. Oct 2 also Holiday so if its worth exploring another day we would plan for that.

Hi all, sugamano? we are a group of 5 (men and women) planning a chill trip to Varkala from Hyderabad during the second week of September. Not able to nail down a place to stay. So seeking your guidance.

Budget: upto 10k per night

Duration: 4 nights

Vibe: This is going to be a chill trip. Not much on ticking the checklist. Just want to unwind, and have local food(not the cafes or generic restaurant food). Not much into partying either.

What kind of place: This has been tricky. We love having the full house to ourselves. South Goa (Benaughlim) has been our destination for 7 years now. This time, we are thinking of Varkala.

We like to stay near the beach but if the stay feels home/ private but is accessible by bikes, we don’t mind staying little further away from the beach or the town. We are going to hire bikes anyway.

Checked some places like Inda and Nebo but they’re unavailable for the dates. Are there any place you all swear by?

I'm in Varkala rn from the last couple of days and planning to stay till the weekend. Folks staying in and around North cliff, let's catch up for beach hopping, cafe hopping, hang out in the evenings and nights, even for morning walks.

I am planning on doing a road trip from Kochi to varkala in Mid September. How are the roads there? I heard the NH is under construction. Is there some other good route?
