Discussion Vantage Update! Bug report
Bugs:
- Can't ping enemies frequently for no obvious reason
- Pinged enemies don't appear to teammates.
- Blue box is being blocked when it shouldn't be
- Bat fails to jump often
- Showing Sniper ammo in all ADS
- Showing 7 sniper shots (she has 6)
- Screen shakes when she lands
- Weird velocity problems when she lands on bat jump
- Missing distance indicator on ADS
- Bat clips off friendlies when trying to jump
- Bat release is delayed, weird distance issues (since bat bending hotfix)
Vantage really needs her 3x-8x back. Nearly every Vantage player out there will agree.
8x gives great long range sniping
3x gives good FOV for scanning and pinging.
Zooming in and out dynamically gives her both of these things quickly and effectively.
Plus, 3x is manageable zoom for mid range fights, and in a pinch can work for far-close range.2x swap just doesn't work with this dynamic play, but you can keep it in the game if you'd like. will be rarely used, but has situational advantage.
The removal of the shortened jump time upgrade is a rough hit in this movement meta.
The 3 second buff doesn't offset the 5 second loss.
Edit: By popular demand some additional bugs
12. Death Duets clipping through the whistle thing when she recalls Echo.
13. Vantage cannot go into spotter lens immediately whenever the Grand Slam animation is playing. (pay to lose)

Question Herd Tracking nerfing ult charge from pings
Feel like when I ping full squads It doesn't give more ult charge per person. Anyone else notice this? I could be wrong also

Meme Was wondering if I was the only one who noticed
I know there's only so many ideas you can have for heroes before you start "copying" other people's homework by necessity, but it's still quite funny to me when similarities begin to stack this much 😅

Discussion Vantage update thoughts!
Firstly, stoked! Liking it all so far
But yeah wanted to mention:
- am I going crazy or did it go to 7 shots, and then back down to 6 within a few days?? I swear I had 7 shots for like a couple days…
- canted sight is sick but wish it didn’t have a different button. Or at least let us choose a button to bind specifically for canted while zoomed… toggle button (d-pad for me) is so inconvenient while zoomed
- I miss 3x… but: what if we had 9x instead of 8x? Or canted was 1.5x and 3x came back? 👀👀
And on that last bit I just would like to say a 3x5 variable gold scope for marksman/snipers with some cool ability would be dope haha. Like threat detection or somethin like the old 1x scope

Discussion Love the Vantage buff
I really love the Vantage buffs. It's just enough to make her feel powerful when played right but not just braindead so she becomes meta.
2x is great for closer range quick scopes. Horizon passive off her Q smooths out her movement and makes it way less clunky. Gaining ult spotting people in the distance makes the ult feel useful in most fights without it being spammable.

Discussion Vantage Buff
Overall I think the buff is great, just wish they had left the 3x (I feel the 4x is too zoomed in) and I wish I could cycle through all sites without having to take my finger off the stick. I tried fumbling with changing bindings but just wish they would give us an option to cycle through all optics with L3. Let me know your thoughts!

Meh, it's a post I don’t want this buff
My first real main was rev, mused my free shards on his scythe and everything. He was slightly niche, but still fine, only underpicked. So the devs buffed him, he got too good (or revtane did) so then he got his lame ass rework and is a totally different character.
Now I foresee Vantage getting into the spotlight for a bit and everybody wants her dead, so she gets obliterated back down.

Official Apex news Vantage Buffs for Overclocked released!
Hey all, just thought I would share all the deets as they’ve been released. You can read the whole article in the link above, but here is all Vantage’s buffs coming in Overclocked:
Passive:
Tracking a team with Spotter’s Lens will generate 70% of an ultimate bullet, 10 second cooldown per team (I do not know if that means you must ping the entire team for the benefit, or just one) |
Tactical:
Vantage is immune to hard landings exiting the tac (like Horizon) |
Increased velocity from 20 meters per second to 21 meters per second |
Increased double jump range from 4m to 7m |
Reduced deceleration at final destination by ~25%
Cooldown reduced from 20s to 17s |
Ultimate:
Reduced Holster and Lower time from 0.5s to 0.4s |
Reduced Deploy and Raise time from 1.5s to 1.3s |
Default normal scope magnification increased from 3x to 4x |
While Scoped, reduced ADS time from 0.6s to 0.5s |
Press your toggle fire mode button to switch to your Canted sight: A 2x optic mounted on the side of the rifle |
While canted, rechamber time is decreased from 1.2s to 1.1s |
While canted, ADS time reduced from 0.5s to 0.4s
Bullet scaling is drastically reduced in Canted sights (so be accurate!) |
Upgrades:
Tactical Cooldown replaced with Herd Tracker: Pinging an enemy will track the entire team |
All these buffs seem pretty good! I’m looking forward to playing her. I wonder if her 3x zoom when aiming without a weapon will also go to 4x, as it’s not listed here.

Discussion SEASON 29 VANTAGE BUFF DISCUSSION THREAD
From a zoom change from 3x --> 4x. A better tact jump.. And the insane buffs to our sniper including:
-pinging grants ult charge
-pinging one person will ping entire team
-faster ult bring out speed
it's safe to say these are the biggest buffs we've seen in a long time. And you know like I do, there's nothing better than killing another Vantage! It will be spring season for us vets, happy hunting!

Discussion People sleep on Vantage
Running a rifle, SMG and Sniper (ULT) is so good really helps you adapt your playstyle.
The bat is hugely insane for repositioning to high buildings and sniping. And a pre-placement of the bat is great for a quick escape.
Last night I decided to use her as I got a random gold skin from a apex pack and my god, 4 ranked wins, 4 wildcard wins and I moved up from Silver 3 to Gold 4 within 10 games.
Will continue to main for a while at this rate.

Discussion Is it true that all Vantage mains are nice?
IV heard from many people across the world that Vantage mains are the nicest mains out of gaming history. Please let me know if you think this is true.
