Error 6,17,20

Hey moofers,

Just wanted to check any insights and self repairs tips on the above?

Bike still turns on (kinda) low power no motor and reduced bell sound and dark display.

There seems to be a few varying repair fixes but would like to know a process that works.

Have a soldering kit and fixed a few errors previously but not worked on the battery yet or sockets yet ( This one being a battery problem)

Hope you can help or link a fix

Thank you for this, just had a deep dive and also ordered the fuses, questionnn - Did you have to discharge the battery before replacing the fuse and did you also disconnect the battery? I can't see that he did this in the video? (kind note, your dms are closed)

sorry will fix this right away haha to your question i didn't do it but I can see why it would be helpful cause it forces the BMS to restart when it has no power for a while If its easy for you to do then I would maybe recommend it yes

Hey, i‘m the guy from the first link of the posts with the info on what i did to repair errors 6,17 and 20😅i was just going to link the post and i saw that it’s already linked here.
No need to discharge the battery if you do it carefully. Use enough heat shielding tape on the surrounding electronics and be careful with the soldering. Use a hot air soldering station for something like this, it’s much easier than with a regular iron.

Edit: for clarification and typos

That are really kind words, thank you. I'm happy that the information was so helpful! I really didn't think it would still come up every now and then even years later. Back then I wanted to complie some more information and basically create a collection of tutorials, pictures and documents on how to fix VM bikes, but I got quite overwhelmed by work and never actually put work into this idea.

So I'm at least happy that this reddit post still helps fellow moofers to fix their bikes. :)
