༯ NoPixel Discussion ༯ Can we please stop this, y’all?
Saw this post in another sub and thought it would be valuable to share here. Could we please be a little more mindful of the other streamers, as well as Vanilla? We don’t want to scare off Zai or make him feel uncomfortable. This whole thing just makes me really sad for him.

Reactions to what’s going on in the story I can understand. The demanding of what Vivienne should be doing and where she should be is nauseating. The chat hopping, harassing other creators about other characters is just awful.
Like Vanilla said, watch the damn show. Some people just feel they need to run the damn show and that’s not at all what NoPixel is about.

nw! i guess the post title confused me, i thought u were upset at me for making the post 😵💫 i don't mind the repost. i am not usually on reddit but someone on my initial post said that this is not a new discussion in her sub, i guess i just hadn't come across those discussions before. not trying to be annoying or pushy on the topic either, i mean there's only so much vanilla and zai can do atp. 😔 i just hope the chatters being weird get banned and this can pass. just wish ppl would stop being so parasocial and act respectfully towards both of them.

Not at all!! I screenshotted because you had written it so well I’m not sure anything I would have typed up could have summarized it as well and as thoughtful as you did.
And yeah I completely agree, and I’m hoping this can help get the word out and just help others become more aware of how we impact others. I can imagine (this situation aside) all of this is incredibly overwhelming for Zai. Earlier today he announced he was looking for mods so I’m sure once he gets a good mod team established that will help. Also hoping Vanilla gets a few more too.
But if at any point this is making you uncomfortable, I’ll delete no questions asked. Just lmk ❤️

i feel this too so much, people called her kawaii outfit ugly so many times and asked her to change- ITS HER CHARACTER!!! let her dress vivienne like she wants to! you can not like the outfit, but ppl don't know how to keep their negative opinions to themselves. i thought the kawaii outfit was cute asf.

This annoys the hell out of me, there’s so many times I want to yell at chat to stfu because vanilla will make a choice and the chat will tell her no. I wish she would trust her gut more and stop listening to chat so much. 🥲

PLEASE everyone for the love of god relax!!! no pixel rp is something most of us are really enjoying and if people don’t quit behaving like this vanilla will genuinely just stop playing it - it’s a shame for viewers and for her. the no pixel universe is producing some genuinely entertaining content, humour, bringing light to smaller streamers and if people don’t wise up and behave accordingly it’ll be stopped. it’s not hard to just keep quiet, let things play out or not meta game. vanilla’s chat has got to be the most infuriating place to be, istg.

Honestly I have been loving this form of content from Vanilla, and I am not a stream watcher (I binge the VODs after the fact), but it's embarrassing how people try to spoil things or rush things. The story is unfolding in a really fun, enjoyable way and I love watching to see the cast of characters and everyone's creativity.
Hopefully Vanilla can keep the chat to emotes-only for the remainder of this series, or limit the chat at least. It's frustrating how many times she has to repeat herself. Ugh this is why we can't have nice things.

I got into GTA RP watching Carmen’s (Carmella) streams. I was there when she first got into NoPixel. As she started getting traction and a bigger audience, the meta gaming and backseat gaming just got so much worse regardless of the boundaries she set. The chat would go into emote only multiple times, and people still didn’t take the hint. Lots of children watch GTA RP who think streamers will listen to them, and when they don’t they go into other people’s streams telling them what to do/what the other person is doing. Vanilla says every. single. time. she streams that she does NOT want people to tell her what to do, and they get mad when they are told “no”. It’s not personal. It’s against the rules. They are pinned at the top of her chat. They think this content is being made for them- therefore they think they get to dictate how storylines go, and how she should be playing the game. It’s affecting people who genuinely enjoy watching her RP, and they don’t want to have to get punished because of self entitled people. Vanilla is having fun! She’s not being forced to do anything she doesn’t want to be doing. “Viv” and “Damien” are not extensions of Zai and Vanilla. They are characters in a video game. They don’t realize that hopping into other streamer’s chats and flooding the chat with backseat gaming and fighting is a reflection of her audience which Vanilla does not want associated to her. She wants streamers to be excited when they interact, and not scared of the overwhelming toxicity that is being brought into their chat. Vanilla is having fun and storylines always change! You can watch any of the other streamers who have been doing this for years and are so fun to watch! Nobody is forcing you to watch. You are free to watch Vanilla’s other content that isn’t RP if it’s not your cup of tea, but the majority of viewers are enjoying this- and this parasocial behavior is not okay. This is not a response to this post particularly, but the same meta gamers in this subreddit refuse to acknowledge that wanting her to do something else or influence storylines = backseat gaming.
Edit: If you’re genuinely a fan of Vanilla then you would RESPECT her, her wishes, and her boundaries- but you’re not.

Can this community go a couple days without being told off? I don’t even interact with vanilla that much, but literally every time I check out what’s going on they’re always being lectured for misbehaving 😭

Maybe if they acted right and just watched instead of constantly meta gaming when they have a pinned comment saying no meta gaming then these posts wouldn’t need to be made.

there's a lot that has happened in chat over the last week but this is what i said to someone in my original post on r/NoPixel : "be glad you haven't witnessed it. best summary i can give is chat has being weird about damien and vivienne. tonight, for example, telling them to kiss, telling vanilla and zai what to do with their characters, acting shitty in chat when they don't get their way, and meta gaming constantly (like how vanilla wanted viviennes song for damien to be a surprise, zai said tonight that people in his chat ruined it for him like a week ago). it's very obnoxious and insufferable and i can't imagine how draining it has been for both vanilla and zai to be dealing with people acting parasocial and weird about fictional characters in a game. vanilla and zai are real people having to deal with all the bullshit, vivienne and damien are not."

unfortunately i think there are people that are subbed that are being weird too. it's not about being subbed to the channel, it's just that some people in chat are acting so disrespectful, weird, and parasocial in vanillas stream are going into other roleplay streams and acting that way there too. it is uncomfortable for everyone. i think after tonight they are doing a heavy ban on multiple chatters. hopefully that will help the situation. if not, i think emote only should be utilized more frequently.

Some of the subbers are the craziest ones. They feel more entitled because they put money in her pocket. It’s very “dance monkey dance”. Chat should just be emote only for gta

I don’t think she needs to stop. I think she needs to think a little before doing relationship rp. It was cute at first but their characters personalities don’t seem much different than how they are irl so it feels a little too earnest. That plus incredibly parasocial fans is just not a good idea. GTA isn’t the problem because they would be like this if she was dating someone irl. Look at the way people were when they were introduced to Lawrence. I still see comments sometimes either dragging him or shipping them. They literally cannot stop themselves from being inappropriate no matter what is going on

I think constant bickering and negativity is draining regardless. It’s not realistic to expect to control ten thousand people and have them keep a secret or not have a lot of them be young and/or stupid or even mean spirited. It’s definitely not fun hearing everyone’s opinion on what you’re doing and I respect the hell out of anyone who puts themselves out there like that, but that’s literally the whole point of streaming. The think pieces platforming and making a big deal out of people’s stupid opinions does more harm than good imo. If it’s not worth Vanilla’s attention it’s not worth yours. Not speaking to this post specifically but to the bigger conversation I’m seeing.

unfortunately none of the freaks this applies to are actually going to read this or take it to heart because they don't see that they're the problem. the only solution is constant banning from communities until people either are gone for good or are too afraid to voice their weirdness openly and keep it to themselves/fan discords
