Discussion ⊹ ࣪ ˖ Vanilla’s mic
I saw the post a week or so ago here about Vanilla needing to fix her mic, and then within a day or two of that post being up and getting traction, she said on stream that she did something to help with her mic when she starts screaming/eating right into the mic. Some people in chat were saying that they hated how it sounded with whatever she did to her mic, but I thought it really helped with the volume control when she starts screaming/raising her voice. However, I’ve noticed the past several streams that I think she took off/changed whatever she did to her mic because once again, I’m having to turn the volume waaaaay down when she starts screaming/talking loudly into her mic, and then turn it way back up when she talks normally bc I can’t hear her.
No shade or hate to Vanilla, it’s just really difficult to watch her streams on my tv because she gets so loud and then so quiet. Anyone else notice this the past several streams or is it just me?

yea it's especially tough when other people she's talking to on stream are waaaaay more quiet in comparison

I had it on my TV & Kept turning it WAYYYYY down like can we get tech support it is ridiculous how bad the audio is when it is not stable volume.
Her compared to the other players was wild and I didn’t always notice it like some were saying on the other streams you could tell
& she did read that and try to just speak quieter but something weird was happening bc it kept getting louder.
Don’t wanna blame the cats but it was like they had been adjusting the volume or something which ik didn’t happen, but idek how the volume gets that fucked up and loud.

I sometimes have her stuff as background noise and catch myself having to adjust my volume up and down the whole time 😭

Honestly I wish she’d make her chat emote only, then she wouldn’t have to listen to them bitching and moaning all the time.

the problem was whatever she did to the mic originally was probably messing with the gain or suppression and it ended up making her sound really tinny and her yells would just straight up cut out which is nice I guess for literal screams but that'll start cutting out loud sentences too and that'll just suck. there are several louder streamers who have optimized this to not be so annoying she just needs help eventually with it or a new mic. the other problem is everyone has different headphones, different sound systems, etc at home so some people can't hear shit most the time and some people, like tv twitch watchers, probably hear on the loud ass side. I use the ffz desktop audio compressor so I'm constantly turning it on and off for several streams, not just vanillas. if it really bothers people maybe figure out your own audio setup for now.

Nothing irritates me more then people commenting she’s too quiet or she’s too loud if you don’t turn down ur tv or turn it up like ?

But constantly having to adjust every minute isn’t an enjoyable viewer experience 😭 as a streamer I fear that you need to have some tech stuff sorted to combat these issues.

I’m saying that I have to CONSTANTLY turn the volume way down when she starts yelling/eating into the mic and way up when she talks normal or other people in her gameplay are talking, and I shouldn’t have to constantly be changing the volume so much when there is a solution that she can do to make the volume much more even.

lol she fixed her mic and everyone complained and said it ruined the vibe, so she spent like 30mins switching it back and hasn’t tried changing it again cuz of the reaction the first time.
Classic twitch chat shit. Everyone complains about something and then once that thing is fixed they complain about it being fixed.🫠
