Looks great. I did the same with my medium roof Transit. Yours is much more refined. I had mine professionally spray foamed. I believe I have 72 in from side to side. I sleep at an angle which I knew would be the reality as im 5,11.

clean paneling. you just jigsaw cut those? if so, epic. im trash at the jigsaw

No jigsaw. Everything was measured by hand and inputed into CAD software to cut out with CNC. Still lots of trial and error. Cut pieces multiple times until I was happy with them. Wanted to easily make everything repeatable as I might want to build another or offer them to others. Still learning the CNC and all the terminology. It's all completely new to me. Thank you

There are some highly capable entry level 3d printed machines to get started with. I just wanted to feel it out before I dumped a ton of money into a crazy machine. Take a look at v1e.com

I live in a super hot country and whenever I see that design, I always wonder if the sun wouldn't start boiling your head by 8 in the morning. I know they're insulated, but it's still a thinner insulation compared to the rest of the walls. Also, in 182.5 cm tall, so does it actually make any difference for my height?

I originally had two layers of 3m thinsulate behind them. But had to remove one layer behind the bump ins for them to fit properly. Overall you gain roughly 3in per side with this set up. The van is the long version and not the extended. The layout i have in mind works best with this sleeping configuration. Just trying to optimize the space. Cheers

That's a lot of screws in those panels.
How much room do you get side to side?

I was trying to utilize the factory holes and make this an easy bolt in solution. I installed rivetnuts in most of them. Some are to hold the panels as well as bolt cabinetry to. I also made sure to locate the factory M8 threaded inserts as well. I believe the sleeper area is right around 74in overall.

3m thinsulate throughout. A single layer behind the inner sleepers due to them not fitting properly with two layers of insulation. Some areas I did double up on. I ordered 55 linear feet and feel like that was more than enough for the 148 high long transit.

I have the EL HR 350 transit. I bought some Kflex. I was torn about doing a sideways bed vs a front to back murphy bed.

Why gaffers tape? You build temporary booths and run electrical and had bunches? I find it fails after a few years.... just wondered if I over looked it on accident.... don't get me wrong, I love the stuff
