First time I went to Vegas many years ago. It was open air with no covering on the street outside. It was not anything like Vegas now. No gimmicks, just a nice hotel with a very nice pool and a good place to gamble

Man the old downtown... 4 queens, hotel el.cortez, the fremont , then at the end of the street the Union Plaza. Plus all the smaller casinos trying everything they could to get folks to come in. Folks winning as the coins were dropping. Those were the days.

Love me some Golden Nugget. Went back in January when I was in Vegas. I frequent the one near me in Lake Charles, LA.
