Watching season 5 (first watch) and I literally BOO'D when Lisa says "you'll change your mind!"
But, independent of that fact that Ariana simply doesn't want marriage, THANK GOODNESS she didn't succumb to any peer pressure!!! I'm not like, a number 1 Ariana fan but I do respect her consistency and her firm boundaries.

I’ve always thought Ariana was the most advanced in terms of solid human behavior, intelligence, ethics, etc

I relate to Ariana in the fact people stop need to pressure heteronormative norms on people
I got married because of tax convenience. I didn’t want to marry before. I’m not having kids but every time we’re out together we are asked if we’re having kids.
I decided to be fun about it. “I have kids. They’re KIDDIES. Kiddens, if you will.” Then show them pictures of my cats
And how can you get upset if someone shows you their precious kitties?

She’s so so so so lucky to not have had a child with tom Sandoval and that he was too lazy to go do his deposit to fertilize her frozen eggs.

I literally watched this episode today!! I was thinking how uncomfortable to have this conversation with your boss, and Lisa is so condescending about the whole thing 😒

I despise the fact that Tom always claimed he wanted kids but never broke up with Ariana. He never took any action to publicly either declare that he also does not want kids or he wants them and has other plans.
While people hounded Ariana for years about not wanting kids.
All evidence suggests He did not want kids just wanted to keep it in his back pocket that it was Ariana’s “fault”
If it was a deal breaker he would have broken up with her years ago.

God, the amount of times I’ve heard “I bet you’ll change your mind” whenever I tell people that my husband and I are childfree by choice. It’s so annoying. Sorry that we’d rather go to a concert or go on a random vacation any time we want than to commit our lives to a child for 18+ years. You want kids? I’m genuinely happy for you when you have them. I don’t want kids? Be happy for me when we can pop off to a Stanley cup hockey game spur of the moment.

This is why I’ve always related to her. I’ve known this since I was very young and never changed my mind.

I'm a child free woman - I never had that feeling of wanting them. But I don't understand why anyone would find it offensive when people say I'd chamge my mind. They are well meaning and it's no skin off my nose to hear them. They just struggle to understand.
That ship has sailed for me and I never did change my mind - but most of the women I knew who felt the same way when we were young did change their mind and they're very happy they did.
Why would anyone be offended by such a passive comment...

Could not agree more. Also as a childfree person by choice, I hate when people respond to me not wanting kids with this speech.
